Case close, appeal rejected no refund by final decision.
Summary: The discussion centers around the subject of a case being closed with an appeal rejected, resulting in no refund by final decision. sarouchhean_0 introduces the issue, and several participants, including bonanza125, stephenmorgan, tools*, and tobaccocardyahoo, engage in responses, though the content of the dialogue is unspecified. The conversation reflects a follow-up on a decision that seems to affect several involved parties, as they exchange remarks and possibly discuss ramifications of the final decision.
first and foremost I’m an eBay customer for over 9 years, with very positive feedback, recently on May 8th 2026 I’ve purchased an item for $282.87 including tax.
the seller created label and shipped to UPS by May 11, tracking number provided by May 13, But May 12 item showed delivered, never received the package, check on UPS tracking number and proof of delivery, delivery location “Dock” contact the seller and they never replied back my question was if they actually sent it to the right address.
I’ve open a case for a refund and eBay was going to investigate the matter.
eBay responded back and stating they will look into this, they contacted the seller and close the case stating a tracking number and delivery was made and no refund was issued, I’ve attempted to appeal and was rejected because of a final decision .
I’ve file a claim and reach out to UPS and conduct my own investigation, talking with an agent asking if the address matches what the label printed on, base on UPS database the seller address shows something completely wrong my package was sent to a business location “Over Cash Business Design Printing” with the wrong address and buyers name.
UPS will give me until May 28 to close the case once the investigation is complete.
Why am I as a customer being punished for trying to get a refund because a seller made an error on their part, the proof and sign are all there, it’s a possibility that I was scammed and eBay is protecting the seller, I don’t know if I can continue to purchase without confidence, this isn’t right and needs to be handled professionally.

OP4 months agoGood morning, everyone, as of May 28th Ive just received my full refund.
for the past few weeks after enduring battle with eBay and UPS to resolve a case regarding a wrong address delivery by the seller, Ive finally got a big break after making one last attempt to shed some hope and was thinking about giving up and accept the loss I never thought of a charge back from my credit card company because that was being a last resort.. Ive contacted an eBay agent yesterday Thursday by 07:45am and briefly explain my situation he was very professional and understanding, after a quick review of my case he stated that this is straightforward and 99.9% was indeed a no brainer that the address doesn't match up and how the other eBay agent did not sees this and close the dispute and rejected the appeal and stick with the sellers favor and close the case.
UPS services and communications was a mess and limited without the right resource and information will absolutely get you nowhere, no agent was willing to hear me out, I've filed a claim and a few days later the case was close because UPS stated that they tried to contact the receiver and no contact was made which was false UPS never tried to contact me so no help there whatsoever, more importantly the address label on the package did not match my address so UPS policy will have nothing to assist and no longer help me.
so basically, if an eBay agent doesn't take a case seriously and bypass the proof without verification this is very concerning, i had to deal with over four customer agents before the last one actually solved and fix the problem.
I am please and very satisfied with the end result, my solution is if you are lost in a situation when you are the victim and everything's not working out, give it some time and try to resolve this with as many eBay agent as possible a few might not be accurate when investigating but some will take note and guild you to the right direction.
So, this thread can be close, and my account will be place on hold after a few thoughts i will be very cautious when doing another transaction in the future, eBay is not a bad place you just got to do the math and triple check for result.
thanks to everyone for helpful feedback, but most cases you have to do the wet work yourself keep trying its all about results, you're not alone.

·4 months agoThe simplest solution to the fake address scam is a credit card chargeback dispute.
Too many buyers who have been scammed waste too much time for no good reason.
It also serves to get Ebay's attention. Their credit card processor discourages high chargeback rates and may raise their exchange fee.

OP4 months agoFirst and last update, I’ve called UPS for an update and if I can request for a written confirmation regarding the labeled address was shipped to and was denied by the customer service because the address shipped to didn’t match my actual address, I was told to contact the seller for information but knowing it was a tracking number scam there’s no way the seller will reach out to me, time is running out before a refund will not be possible, this is one of my worst experiences ever, if UPS investigation was a failure and no light will shine for me, I’ll take the loss and learn a lesson, I’m finished with eBay trust and honesty and respect is what eBay doesn’t value, eBay can hire these scammers and destroy themselves, out of me and over millions of other individuals in the world eBay doesn’t care.
thanks to the replies from a few of you and for me enough is enough not worth fighting for, farewell, I’ll be deleting my account.

Get a letter from UPS stating the package was not addressed or delivered to you.
Go to your purchase history and click return item and select, the item doesn't match the description as the reason.
The seller will have 3 days to accept the return and pay return shipping or refund without returning.
If they don't, return to the case on day 4 and ask Ebay to step in.
If the seller accepts and pays for the return, make a copy of the letter and ship it to them.

·4 months agoIt's a tracking scam. Contact your payment source immediately. How you can purchase with confidence to protect yourself review feedback, deal with sellers within the US, check profiles to make sure the seller is in the US and not China, purchase from a reliable seller not someone with zero or very low feedback.

OP4 months agoThanks for the reply bonanze125.
Apparently eBay close the case and decided to protect the seller because they provided the tracking number and the package showed delivered, again I’ve been with eBay for over 9 years with very positive feedback, the seller just joined since May 4, 2026 it’s crazy how eBay allows this seller to continue on, the last time I’ve checked on their feedback there was a negative feedback and comments stating this seller is a scammer, as of today eBay resets the sellers feedback to normal.
I’ve reached out to eBay’s agent three time and all seems to know my situation and tries to investigate, but someone on the higher ups is not letting me resolve for a full refund, so my appeal is also close and rejected.
I’ve contacted UPS and file a claim and getting contacted to a UPS agent, I requested to see if the shipping address matches my actual address, turns out the label was incorrect the address was delivered to:
“600 West Over Cash Design Printing “
the name on the label was in correct
my case and investigation with UPS will close by May 28. So hopefully I can get a refund.
as for the seller they got away with free money and eBay doesn’t support a case where there’s a lot of loop holes as long as the seller provides tracking number and a delivery is marked, I’m on the other hand fighting my way to get my money back I was going to give this gaming laptop I purchased for a nephew, I will not give up honest people always get screwed over.

·4 months agoWell your next course of action is to call your payment source and do a chargeback. Ebay treats everyone the same. If the tracking states delivered then they rule in the sellers favor. Feedback is only for buyers to review other buyers experience with the seller. Feedback and time being on Ebay has nothing to do with the decision Ebay makes. It's a non factor.

·4 months agoFake Tracking Scam where some unrelated item is sent to an address within your zip code. eBay will deny you claim because they see the tracking number provided by the seller was delivered to you zip code.
The fact that you made a claim to eBay that you did not receive the item should have been enough for eBay to actually determine if the tracking number was genuine to your address. They choose not to do any further investigation into the matter and instead tell you the case is closed and you can not appeal.
This is a well known scam and you can have success in getting the decision reversed in your favor.
File a Notice of Dispute with eBay. Go to this link.
Notice_of_Dispute.pdf
Go here and read about Legal Disputes.
19. Legal Disputes User Agreement | eBay
With you Notice of Dispute include documentation from UPS that clearly states the Tracking Number provided thru eBay is not associated with you or your address.
File a Complaint with UPS
Go here https://www.ups.com/us/en/support/shipping-support/legal-terms-conditions/fight-fraud
File a Complaint with the FBI
Go here FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3)
The more complaints initiated by victims of this scam the more likely the scammer will be put out of business.

OP4 months agoStephenmorgan.
Thanks for the information, but that’s a lot of leg room, why can’t eBay just support it’s customers fairly and catches the red flag.
I’m going to wait until UPS completes the investigation, I would definitely do a charge back with my Bank, hopefully it doesn’t affect my eBay account. eBay will not hear me out even when I explain that the seller inputs and shipping the package with the wrong address. My question is why would UPS directly told me that the shipping label and name didn’t match my actual address the UPS agent gave me an address that was labeled to a business company. Does eBay ask the seller for proof of the buyer’s shipping label to make sure if it’s correct, but in eBay prospective it shows delivered to my partial correct address which is incorrect and fraudulent not the full address .I’m I the only one missing something, it doesn’t add up.
