Can't find shipping cost from USA to Puerto Rico for this item.
I have an item listed: https://www.ebay.com/itm/157195513797
I received inquiry about shipping cost to Puerto Rico 00641. When the Buyer doesn't see shipping cost, that usually means item is restricted to USA because of some stupid eBay Category policy. However, this listing does show USA and MANY other countries, including PR. If I click on "see shipping details" and select PR, it does not show any shipping cost! It shows for Mexico, Ecuador, and other countries I tried. So, this explains why potential Buyer in PR can't see shipping cost either. How to fix?

OP1 year agoSo - for Puerto Rico - it does not use eBay's Global Shipping Service. Learn something new everyday!

"So - for Puerto Rico - it does not use eBay's Global Shipping Service."
Not true -- I've been shipping to Puerto Rico using USPS Ground Advantage without a problem.
Puerto Rico is part of the United States -- it shouldn't be an issue.

Puerto Rico has been added to the eBay International Shipping (eIS) program. (GSP is no longer available. It is a discontinued program)
eBay added PR to eIS so that buyers could purchase from sellers that do not want to ship directly to PR.
I ship directly to PR so my items do not go eIS.

OP1 year agoNo - I am mistaken. Actually, I copied the tech specs from manufacturers website. Yes, those are for the small box only. Thanks.

OP1 year agoThanks. Did not see that. Used "Sell Similar" and it was pre-filled. I don't think this affected my problem with rate not showing though.

OP1 year agoIn case anyone looks at that listing again, I have changed price higher and to Free Shipping temporarily for the customer in PR.

OP1 year agoHello. OP here. I did change listing from FedEx to UPS yesterday and now it shows shipping for US (00641) of approx. $229. So, something changed from yesterday. I have account set to show full un-discounted rates, on calculated items, but also have Make Offer on those.
No idea who said it weighs 14 ounces. It is actually 18# 35x10x8" (plus a second small box).
I see that non-discounted rate is $127.
Thank you for trying to help.

"No idea who said it weighs 14 ounces. It is actually 18# 35x10x8" (plus a second small box)."
The weight was clearly stated in your listing: "400 g (14.1 oz)" -- plus your stated dimensions are 3.5 inches X 1.6 inches X 9.1 inches, as below --
So your listing only seems to provide the weight and dimensions for the small box -- that's what has led to the confusion and disparity in dollar amounts for shipping.

I didn’t have any problems getting shipping cost to Puerto Rico with zip code 00641 leaving United States as the country. Cost is $77.05 to Puerto Rico with Ground Advantage. Since you just updated shipping With UPS cost is $224.81 to Puerto Rico that is before UPS hits you with their after delivery surcharges.

Puerto Rico has been part of the United States since 1898 -- it is an unincorporated Commonwealth territory which the USA acquired as a result of the Spanish-American War.
The USPS shipping charges to Puerto Rico are applicable -- just use the American ZIP Code of 00641 as the destination.
UPS and FedEx charges may be higher.

OP1 year agoThat doesn't work. No shipping cost is shown when I do that.

You are located in Florida -- Puerto Rico is not that far away from you.
You are shipping USPS Ground Advantage -- just figure out the USPS GA rate from your ZIP Code to ZIP Code 00641.
Make sure that you are not attempting to define Puerto Rico as a foreign country -- it is part of the United States, and USPS Ground Advantage rates apply.

Are you sure about those dimensions? It looks heavier than only 14.1 ounces.
Using the dimensions provided in your listing, I used the USPS calculator to estimate a package going from Gainesville, FL to Puerto Rico, and it came out to approximately $10.50 at USPS Ground Advantage.

We seem to have a wide disparity in shipping prices -- $77.05 vs $10.50.
When I used the USPS calculator, I entered the OP's ZIP Code as 32601 (approximately), and the destination ZIP as United States ZIP Code 00641.
The weight I entered was 15 ounces.
The dimensions I entered were 10" X 4" X 2".
And USPS provided a retail USPS Ground Advantage price of $10.50.
Am I calculating something incorrectly?
I just put the zip code into the OPs listing I didn’t go through the hassle of playing with eBay’s shipping calc.
I believe the OPs buyer was put off by the cost of shipping in the OPs listing which prompted the buyer to inquire about it. Perhaps the OPs dims are inaccurate.

I didn't use the eBay shipping calculator -- I used the official USPS calculator at
https://www.google.com/search?q=usps+shipping+calculator&oq=&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUqDAgAECMYJxjqAhitBjIMCAAQIxgnGOoCGK0GMgkIARAjGCcY6gIyCQgCECMYJxjqAjIMCAMQIxgnGOoCGK0GMgkIBBAjGCcY6gIyCQgFEC4YJxjqAjIJCAYQIxgnGOoCMgkIBxAjGCcY6gLSAQsxMjE5NjI0ajBqN6gCCLACAfEFMtpf_ltUJh8&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
I've entered the same weight and dimensions 5 times now -- and I still get a retail price of $10.50 GA, from ZIP 32601 to ZIP 00641.

·1 year ago@ebooksdiva Using the OPs listing I also got $224.81 - ships to Puerto Rico but something in the shipping calculator is incorrect.
This is 2 boxes - the bottom box looks large.
Listing is for UPS shipping.
Im sure that even with the cost of $224.81 UPS will add other fees.
