·2 years agoI've been unable to figure out how to print ebay labels correctly on my label printer 😞 Weather shipping USPS GRD ADV or PWE, label does not print properly directly from Ebay or even if i print ebay label to PDF first. Not sure what I'm missing? I just have a standard label printer for 6x4 labels I believe and I've tried everything I can think of and I'm sure its probably the simplest fix that going to make me look silly. Sorry if this was off topic as I'm also first time using this community chat platform and not able yet to find where to post topic hahaha yea I'm a rookie to a lot of things apparently.

·2 years agoHey @robertbarlow042678 - your issue is not related to the original post. To avoid your problem getting lost in the mix, it's better to start a new discussion. That said, it sounds like your issue is related to label size. Make sure your eBay labels are set to size 4x6. If this does not solve your problem then it could be your printer settings and if that's the case I suggest starting a new discussion with your question and a screenshot of the problem.
On the label purchase page first make sure your label options are expanded:

I have some official word on protections now! Here is what they have said:
"Sellers will be protected from tracking uploaded on time and validated defects"

·2 years agoThe generic error message was rather useless, making sellers try to figure out what might be wrong on their end. It would be great if the Ebay team could print in bold bright print, as soon as they notice that the shipping problem was on Ebay's side, so sellers don't waste tons of time trying to troubleshoot the non printing problem.

·2 years agoThe issue from Dec 4th was resolved by EOD on Dec 4th. If you're having issues today @2sunnie64 I suggest starting a new discussion here and giving some specifics about the issue you're having so you can get some help with it.

·2 years agoIf you purchased multiple labels in error @luk782 you will need to void any unused labels to receive a refund.
To reprint a label purchased through eBay (or download a copy of a QR code through the reprint function), go to this page, find the order and select Reprint from the Actions drop-down. The reprint option is available for 7 days.
To void a shipping label purchased through eBay, go to this page, find the order and select Void from the Actions drop-down. The void option is available for 5 days.
It takes between 2-4 weeks to receive a refund on an unused, voided label. You'll see the refund on your original source of payment (bank, credit card, etc) and the funds will appear in your account without an email notification.
Printed eBay Standard Envelope labels are non-refundable and cannot be voided.
eBay International Standard Delivery labels are not charged to your account until they are used, so there is no void option.

On the bright side it's still a more pleasant experience than adding item specifics to listings.

·2 years agoYES!.....I cannot print any shipping labels at all , because it keeps showing a message that (basically) it's not working ... this has been going on for 4 hours , maybe longer.
I went to the CHAT but they are of ZERO help since it's just an "A.I" answering from a script ON A LOOP...over and over again, just spouting off none-sense.
So then I tried chatting with a real live person, and that did not go well since it's closed due to too much activity.

·2 years agoIt' not just USPS. It's all labels. Shipped 56 this morning and then it broke. Still have 14 left. Several are FedEx and UPS. Post Office stays opens later but the FedEx and UPS trucks runs in about an hour.... If our packages aren't ready when they run the shipments will not go out today.

·2 years agoI hope now that ebay has acknowledged the severity of the problem you would also lift the 24 hour requirement right away so all those who already gave up and anyone else who gives up wont be penalized. Not many people can sit and wait on the edge of their seats to print labels, but instead have a whole list of other things they need to do and cant put their life on hold because ebay labels didnt work today. I have a whole weekends worth of sales that won't get out until Tuesday, if you take away my Final Value Fee discount for a whole month because 1 day your shipping didnt work it will really be a nice holiday message.

·2 years agoCan get to the Bulk Print Page but.....can't fetch quotes for items and heaven forbid you try to change the dimensions of the package, if you do and it gave you a quote, it will read error shortly thereafter. My advice print what doesn't need custom packaging or what you get quotes for and I guess eventually the rest will get fixed soon.

·2 years agoMy UPS scheduled pickup is approaching and have 9 that have to go out. It's been down for a long time now. Im sure i'll still get late shipping even though it is ebay's fault. I shouldn't have to go to a 3rd party site to ship items that sold on ebay.

·2 years agoI would think when the money stops rolling in like a firehose from commission on shipping fees,
one of the bean counters would immediately be notified via the Internets and this would get addressed to turn the firehose back on ASAP....think of all the fees they are not collecting (maybe that will motivate someone)

·2 years agoThat may not be sufficient motivation, since even if the fee is paid in cash at a PO or UPS, ebay has already got their cut on the shipping fee secured anyway.

·2 years agoI just printed all my labels with pirate ship and it worked. I selected all packages that were the same weight and was able to do all of those at once and then repeat it with each of the different weights that I'm sending. That saved some time. Not as fast as eBay bulk shipping but I guess I'll get a little credit card reward points from it.

·2 years agoYou connect your ebay account to pirateship and it imports all the addresses for you (and it automatically sends the tracking number and marks them as shipped to ebay)

·2 years agoFYI @sapphire_studio if you have a PayPal account and set your credit card as the default payment method, you can select PayPal for eBay USPS labels (not UPS/FedEx) and get points or cash back on every label purchase.
I'm of the opinion that using "available funds" to pay for labels on eBay is throwing money in the trash. I use my cash back credit card and sink all that moolah into new inventory.

·2 years ago18 going out today, technically don't have to be shipped until tomorrow but if I can't print these by 4pm EST today then I am going to have to message each of my Buyers because I ALWAYS ship on Mon, Wed or Fri. Thanks a lot eBay.

·2 years agoWhen I first started out this morning printing at 11:00AM EST, about 75% my dozen or so orders showed that error. I was able to print up labels for those. After refreshing I was able to print up about 25%. But the other 50%, no matter the amount of refreshing, can't even get to the shipping service select page.
