Buying from overseas, Great Britian
I'm looking at an item as a buyer in the United Kingdom. I'm in the United States. He doesn't ship to the US, but would if Ebay provided a easy way to do that, he would. What can I tell him I've always been a buyer?

·10 months agoIf you can buy within the United States then I think you should reconsider wanting to purchase that item from the UK and buy it from a seller in the United States. You would be subject not only to a higher shipping cost but also to tariffs.

·10 months agoI read it as the seller put that in their listing as more of a philosophy "until eBay makes international shipping easier to ship from the UK, i'm not doing it". I'd just look for another seller

·10 months agoThe seller can add your ID to his buyer exemption list letting you make the purchase. You'll want to know what the shipping cost will be because if it's exorbitant, you may not want to spend that much.
I don't know whether UK has anything similar to EIS (ebay international shipping). In the US, EIS is a program for sellers who don't want to ship outside the US to sell internationally. Items go to a US hub and from there, ebay ships it to the buyer in their country. (It's pretty expensive for the buyer.)
