Some fresh fruit or produce may not be able to be imported into India, due to the possibility of them having the eggs on/in them of a species of insect that could destroy crops in India. The seeds from those berries, could also cause the bush itself to grow unchecked in your country if one managed to germinate and grow. Autumn Olive Berries are considered an invasive shrub in this country.
Just about every country has proscriptions on what fresh foods can be imported. Try looking up your country's prohibited fresh food items to see if Elaeagnus Umbellata is on the list of foods not allowed to be imported into India.
@mammah10
Can't you get them in Rajasthan?

·2 years agoIs this actually a fresh fruit? Got to wonder what condition it would be in if it were shipped to India from the US.

·2 years agoLook for a seller who uses the eBay International Shipping service.
OR.
Look for a freight forwarder who trans-ships to India.
There will be a fee.
The latter may be preferable,since they usually will also deal with customs and import fees.
HOWEVER
The ongoing problem would be the legality of importing fresh fruit into India.
Preserved seems to be fine.

·2 years agoSellers might not be able to send them to India (from the USA) due to quarantine/biosecurity reasons (it is a fresh fruit and contains a seed, and probably isn't allowed.)
