Buyers see "Seller will not post to your location" error
Summary: darkstar_armory experienced issues with buyers receiving a "Seller will not post to your location" error on eBay, despite being opted into eBay International Shipping. They confirmed no settings exclude locations but noted buyers in Australia and Taiwan encountered this problem. Suggestions included that NSFW content might be causing restrictions due to censorship, and they considered adjusting listing titles to avoid explicit terms. momtoabeautifuldaughter shared a similar issue with Taiwan, speculating it may not be covered by the shipping program.
Buyers attempting to purchase my listings are receiving the error message "Seller will not post to your location" during checkout, despite the following:
My account is fully opted in to eBay International Shipping
I have no excluded/banned shipping locations set at the account level or listing level
The affected listing(s) show eBay International Shipping as enabled
Buyers in Australia and Taiwan attempted to purchase and received this error
This is not a configuration issue on my end. I have already checked:
1. Account-level shipping preferences (no exclusions)
2. Listing-level shipping settings (no exclusions, eIS shown as active)
3. Item eligibility for the International Shipping Program

·2 weeks agoIt's an ebay glitch that is causing the problem. I had several customers that have been buying from me for years, all of a sudden not be able to pay. Some I wasn't able to invoice, Yet I changed nothing. Some customers from the same countries were able to pay while others weren't Some ignored the message and were able to pay. others couldn't. One changed their shipping location to the US and they were able to pay. Another tried the same thing and they got a message that I don't ship to that state. Yesterday I had one go through fine. Invoiced them with no problem and they paid with no problem. So who knows. It's a glitch and until they fix it, if it isn't fixed yet , I have found a work around but it involves several steps and they have to visit my website. All the stuff I sell is the same type of stuff and no actual country has ever had an issue with it, being old car literature.

OP2 weeks agoUpdate. I created a listing with the item the customer wanted, I added USPS International shipping to the listing. He was able to purchase the item using the USPS option. So it seems to be an issue with the ebay international shipping program.

·2 weeks agoMaybe the countries don't items that are not legit shipped to their countries.

·3 weeks agoI sell a variety of items and I'm fully opted into eBay international shipping also with no banned locations and no one from Taiwan can buy from me either.
So I'm thinking that EIS doesn't cover Taiwan for some reason.

The previous reply is probably right. You may want to remove NSFW" from your titles and only post them in your Seller description. NSFW generally means explicit sexual content or naked bodies. While nudity may not prevent an item being shipped internationally, an explicit content warning might.

OP2 weeks agoThat makes sense. I like having the NSFW in the title bar because I think is a common search term. Maybe if I try SFW | NSF instead.

·3 weeks ago · EditedI'd have to guess it is the content of the figures making them ineligible. Would the cases you know of be the NSFW ones? Some places have over zealous censorship laws and eIS errs on the side of caution with "questionable" items.

OP2 weeks agoI had a customer in France; he was able three out of four of a set lower decks. All had SFW | NSFW in the listings. So maybe. It is hard to know the what and why of the problem and support can't give any feedback.
