Buyer wants me to send item to different address
I had a buyer purchase an item this afternoon. Tonight, I get a message from the buyer asking me to ship the item to a different address in the same state. I did check the buyer id on purchase and also the one that came through Ebay messages, and they are both the same. I know shipping to a different address I will lose seller protection. If I do a cancellation, will it give me the option, problem with buyer's address. Should I contact the buyer also and let them know, I have to ship to address Ebay has provided? This is the first time for me that this has happened, and I want to do it correctly. Thank you for the help

·1 year agoInform the buyer the rules require you to end the sale and they have to repurchase it and enter the ship to address they want before they click pay. They can send you a request to cancel or you can and choose problem with address.

·1 year agoMe personally, once a buyer has shown to be a problem, I block them. Their need to change the address could be legit...or they could be trying to run a scam, which means if you cancel and let them buy again, they will just run another type of scam. So, I just block these people.

·1 year agoYes canceling give the option of problem with buyers address. First contact them and tell them because of how eBay is set up, you can't ship to different address so they can either have it sent to the address shown on the order or you can cancel, and they can rebuy using the correct address. Buyers can have more than one ship to address.
