Buyer Swapping Out An Item
I dont even know where to start ... I think a buyer is swapping out an item that I shipped to them with another item that is not what I sent. The buyer is threatening me with reporting fraud and I think it is them that is committing fraud. First the offers started at $399 then went up to agreed price of $1147 and I thought it was weird that this person was offering such lowball prices and then went up in price the way that they did but I am new at this. Then today they sent pictures of a different item then what I sold them. I did the return request immediately and sent prepaid shipping label for the return. I keep getting threatening messages to "refund now" and calling me a "fraud" They even did a bad review! I am just mortified. I am a good person. I told a friend about it because I called him crying over it. He said maybe they are the ones doing the "fraud" and swapping out a smaller less expensive mat then the one they bought from me. I don't have pictures for proof of the size of the mat. Ebay told me on the one other return that I have had not to refund until I receive the item from the buyer and inspect it. This person is demanding and threatening to report me for fraud if I do not refund now. Part of me wants to give them their money back now and just be done with it because I am so upset. Does anyone have any advise for me? I am sure I am out of the money and stuck with an item that is not worth what mine was worth either way.

·9 months agoListing shows all STOCK PICTURES. You really have no proof as to what it was you actually sent.
You are either Dropshipping as already said, or you're doing Pallet Returns without opening boxes and taking pictures to make sure what SHOULD be in the box is actually in the box, only searching through the internet finding and posting stock/catalog pictures while creating listings.
Honestly, I'm on the Buyers side with this one. Do Buyers try and get away with flipping the items they bought by sending something else back? Yes, YES they do. But come on, a "Heating Mat". Yeah, that's got let's Scam this Seller all over it.
This is part of the Dropshipping, Pallet Return game that you're going to have to deal with. Just your name alone, "auctiondeals", along with the Business Plan you've created, entire account is ALL Stock Pictures, is going to bring up issues like this all the time. RETURNS are going to be a HUGE part of your ebay experience. Get this Mat back, REFUND that Buyer, go on about your day. Buyer is not Scamming you whatsoever.

·9 months agoTo be fair it is a $1300 "heating mat"...
Still, I strongly agree with everything you've written here.

·9 months agoTrue. I get that part. But a Scammer trying to Scam $1300, they're not going after a $1300 MAT. They're going after an Iphone, a Laptop, a pair of Nikes, Coins, something other than a HEATING MAT. 😄

·9 months agothere is nothing for them to report or do other than ship the item back with the return label provided.
YOU are the one in control here, if YOU receive something back other than what YOU shipped them then YOU report them for fraud.
Otherwise just ignore them, relax have a cup of tea, meditate whatever......
even if they did a credit card chargeback in this case you are likely covered because they have acknowledged the receipt and have already received a return authorization

·9 months agoDo not refund until the item has been returned.
Report you for fraud? - To who? The fraud police?
Doesn't matter if they are in a hurry for their refund or not - ignore any more messages if they are upsetting you.

I see some items listed from Altoona, Wisconsin but you are in Daytona Beach, Florida.
