Buyer sent me resolve this request and says that the lot I sold him did not arrive
but the tracking number says it was sent

·1 year agoAll the above are correct responses to your inquiry. I would like to add encourage the buyer to go to their local post office. Find out from the carrier what happened. Is there an issue with that carrier. But you are not responsible for anything once tracking shows delivered.

·1 year agoif the buyer opened a claim for INR (item not received), respond to the claim by copying and pasting the tracking number into the dispute.
You can also add in the notes section, "According to USPS, tracking number (fill in the blank) was delivered to an individual at the address at 12:18 pm on December 19, 2024."
The case will close a couple of days later in your favor.
ETA: You don't need to call ebay and you don't need to communicate further with the buyer.

My usual suggestion is to tell him to take the tracking number to the post office and have them check their GPS scanner.
Since you have tracking proof of delivery DO NOT make any promises. It is no different than it being stolen off their porch after delivery. Not your problem.

Yes, eBay told me to update the tr number and I did it
He keeps insisting that he told his neighbors and says that none of his neighbors received the package
and that the post office told him that they have no idea
If he keeps insisting, should I call eBay customer service and tell them?

·1 year agoThe post office has every idea... they scanned it as Delivered and it shows that way on-line. If the buyer asks them, they can pull up their in-house intranet data on when and where the Delivered scan occurred, complete with GPS data.
As long as the package shows as Delivered to the City and ZIP of the address you received with the payment, and you have uploaded the tracking number to the Item Not Received claim (and, if the sale was $750 or higher, you purchased Signature Confirmation for the item), then you should be in the clear and the case should close in your favor.

After closing the case he opened twice, he has not sent any more messages or opened any more cases
Maybe he took the risk of telling me that so I would give him the money back
