Buyer selected "item arrived damaged" and took photos of different product.
Hello,
This has been quite frustrating waiting for a live agent to give me a call within 31 mins. It's been almost 2 hours..
So, buyer opened a "arrived damaged" case and my only options are provide return label or refund.
The photos the buyer provided are of the wrong item..similar but not the one I took photos of and shipped.
The item is a razor. In my listing photos and what got shipped the razor has a black on/off power slide switch. In the buyers claims photos they are showing a similar model with a yellow power slide switch that appears dirty and on the back of the device a huge dent.
Please can someone give me some advice 🙏
Live agents aren't giving me a call 😒

·5 months agoSome have difficulty in providing a photo and are often told any photo will do to add to the return case. That could be what's happened here.
To my mind the only time a photo matters is if the item has been so badly damaged in the post that the seller may not want to bother having it posted back.

Sorry to say, yes.
Just add a bit to all your prices to cover such loss.

·5 months agoeBay will tell you the same thing. You can either refund the buyer and let them keep it. Or you can accept the return and then wait till you receive the package back. I like to video or take pics as I open returns, incase something is returned different. And I would then contact eBay to inform them of this before refunding the buyer.

·5 months agoAccept the return and provide a shipping label, then refund once something is returned.
Being a TRS, if you provide 30 day returns, you can deduct some from the refund if they return a different item.

OP5 months agoBut the buyer is trying to commit fraud? They already showed in the return claim photos the item is not the one I listed/mailed.

Ebay doesn't know what you shipped or if the item in the photo is what you shipped or a different item.
