Buyer is shown delivery estimate for the same day I am told ship by?
Anyone else notice this?
I have a 3 day handling time on my listing and my buyer is shown an estimated delivery on the same day item is scheduled to ship.
Why does eBay give buyers such false impressions?
I just received an email from a buyer,
"Hello there, just checking to see if the socket has shipped yet? When I placed the order on Sunday it said it would arrive Wed or Thursday of this week so that's why I made the purchase with you rather than a different merchant."
attached is the order details page:

·3 years agoYou need to email the buyer and explain to them how ebay deceives buyers into buying. Let them know that this is especially true on west coast to east transactions. Let them know that you will shipping quickly anyway. Goodluck.

·3 years agoExactly what @buyselljack2016 said.
I have 5 days and because I ship from 1-3 days, many of my items show much 'sooner'. If you need to, either start 'slowing down' or extend handling time to 5 or 10 days until it 'straightens' out.

eBay uses your "historical shipping data" when shown the buyer estimate.
If you often ship quickly that is what will happen.

·3 years agoI’d like to see where in “history†a buyer purchased an item from me on Saturday afternoon that was delivered on Monday.

·3 years agoNothing to do with when it was actually delivered.
"Historical shipping data" with eBay AL stacking up that data about when we ship without regard to what we select as a handling time for those listings.
Ship quickly, be punished.
I have been dealing with that for years.
I have recent screen shots, and years old screen shots showing their lunacy.

·3 years agoI noticed it awhile back. We use "3 day shipping" time. But we always upload our tracking on time and have never had a problem.
Someone else mentioned that if you use a longer shipping time but usually ship within 1 or 2 days that Ebay somehow takes this into account when setting delivery dates. It may be so, because we usually ship the next day.
Nothing to stress about. As long as your tracking is uploaded on time, you'll be fine.
