Buyer from outside US made an offer but I only ship inside US.
Hi, I am new to all of this but I have things to get rid of and eBay is better than in-store because of prices. Anyway, I set my shipping (Standard USPS ground advantage) to national only (I also offer free shipping) but I still received an offer from an international buyer.
My questions are: I am going to be charged much more for shipping to non-US places, correct? I can flat out refuse the buyer reminding them I only ship within the US? The item itself the buyer is interested is valued at $80.

·1 year agoYou might want to look into the Ebay Global shipping where at the moment there are protections for sellers that make it worth it. You would be charging shipping to the EIS hub and once it arrives there, your responsibilities are greatly reduced. It might open many other opportunities for sales that you may be missing out on.

·1 year agoCheck the buyer ID eBay country(in feedback)...is this a buyer with feedback or a new buyer?...has buyer made other purchases like this?
Or it might be a 'guest buyer'.
Ask buyer if this is going 'freight forward'...USA address...then to another country.
Expect item to take much longer to get to buyer...and some buyers do complain why it takes so long to get to them.

·1 year agoTo get around only shipping to the US, some International buyers will use a freight forwarder located in the US.
As long as they provide a US address when they buy, it won't cost any more in shipping.
You will be hit with a small International fee.
