Bought labels through eBay post office says this tracking # not valid for prepaid acceptance
Item sold on eBay overnight, bought a label through eBay as I always do. Nothing seemed out of place or different than the hundreds of other labels I've bought previously, but when I went to drop it off at the post office the clerk scanned it and it gave the error message that it was not valid for prepaid acceptance. Came home, couldn't figure out what could be wrong, so cancelled the label and bought a new label. Went back to the post office and got the same error. Any help?

·1 year agoI had the same issue recently - and did the same as you - cancelled the first label, created a new label and again the clerk got an error when scanning. She was very nice and put it in manually and it took. Some clerks won't do it manually - if they won't do it ask to see the supervisor. This happened about a month ago and hasn't happened again.
If the PO is crowded sometimes I just drop my packages at the counter - after that experience, I always stand on line to make sure I get the packages scanned.

What was the item that you sold, and what USPS shipping service were you attempting to use?

·1 year agoI wonder if the OP is trying to use the ESUS label and the clueless counter person
is unable to scan the label.

·1 year agoWell, the obvious question is what did you sell and what type/class of label did you try to use?
If you are convinced it is valid then insist on talking to a supervisor or, ideally, the post master.
