Best Way to Ship Projector?
Want to sell projector worth ~$500. Haven’t sold something this expensive before. I’ve packaged it very well but my question is what shipping service would be best? USPS Priority, USPS Ground Advantage, UPS Ground, FedEx Ground. Just want to make sure it gets delivered safely with no issues. Thanks for any suggestions.

·2 years agoI like FedEx....they usually ring your doorbell when item is being delivered...my experience.
UPS can just drop it off...I don't like that.
USPS Priority depending where it is going....Florida nope. Priority is not working as a fast rate lately.
USPS Ground Advantage...well, they might get it before Christmas.

I see you went with a flat $12.55 charge for Ground Adv. Have you used eBay's shipping calculator to see if that amount will cover you to the farthest zone?

Are you aware you'll pay fees on that ship cost (and sales tax) so you'll be left with only $11 to cover the shipping label plus all your packing materials, unless you built a cushion into your item cost?
Looks like you decided on the service, but come back if you need more advice about the rate charged. Generally for items like that it's better to use calculated shipping instead of flat shipping to make sure the cost is covered no matter where the buyer lives.
Keep in mind most shipping services include up to $100 insurance if the package is lost, so if you're unable to risk the loss and can't self-insure, and you want to purchase shipping insurance, you should add that in to your ship cost, or add it as a handling fee if you use calculated shipping.
