Auto generated shipping labels, charged for two labels
This has happened more than once. eBay auto-generates a shipping label upon sale. But my size and/or weight estimates are wrong. I can edit these, but that then generates a new label, and I get charged for both labels. I have found out that I can cancel the unused label, but how do I keep this from happening in the first place? What am I doing wrong?

·8 months agoThere is no "auto generation" of a label. You have to actually click to purchase it. I've not had ebay "auto generate" a label in 27 years of selling. It is not a thing.
Do your dimension and weight editing BEFORE you click that button that says "Buy Label".

·8 months agoebay does not auto generate a label, you have to click on the "purchase label" button and you have a chance to edit the size and dimensions and even the carrier before buying shipping.
The best way is have the dimensions correct in the listing then no editing necessary. On many of my items I estimate the size and weight on the listing and then adjust after the sale if necessary

OP8 months agoI am sure this isn't necessary, but what I found that recently worked for me is selecting the advanced tab for shipping. This makes it clear that I am not buying two labels.
