Are any other eBay sellers getting billed $8.60 for USPS ground packages 4 ounces or less ?

Hi,

Please see attached screen shots.

This is not due to postal rates increasing. The postal rate is $4.80 for ground packages 4 ounces and under ( which is still horrible). Please see the screen shots. Your system is showing $8.60 while stamps.com which uses the postal system is $4.80 which of course i used. Something is not right about this as am sure if it is happening to me it is happening to many many others as well. Over half of ebay sellers would not be able to operate with prices like that.

I'm not seeing that at all. I shipped 4 oz. from Mass. to California and it's $4.80.

Scroll down a little @shopbags and switch to standard packaging. You have irregular selected. Can't see it in your screenshot because it's lower on the page.

Yes, tried to ship a few items today USPS ground advantage 3 ounce and 4 ounce and they were both 8.60.

Then you need to adjust your package settings as mentioned above. Uncheck irregular as that's adding the $4 USPS surcharge.

It's defaulting on the label page because you have the irregular package setting checked on your listing page.

biggest issue i have with usps at the moment is how the 12x12x12 cubic rule doesnt apply to everyone anymore. If its a rural area, regardless of box size...you will pay more. So weights and accurate box sizes matter.

Rural areas still utilize cubic rates, but they are the commercial cubic rates, not the more heavily discounted cubic rates. That hasn't changed recently. That change was made a year ago.

Weights and dimensions matter whether you're shipping to a rural area or Los Angeles or London. Weight and dimensions have always mattered.

There is no 12x12x12 rule - not entirely sure what you're referencing with that.
