When I go to print my shipping labels in bulk after I pay the shipping labels
Are 2 to a page and will not work. I have to then go and print my labels one at a time.
My setting is correct had the seller that we purchased it from check our printer. He said
They are formatting in 8.5X11 Ebay changes things from time to time so you may want to contact them to see why they are formatting in 8.5X11. 8.5X11 is normally default on eBay unless you tell it differently. Contacted eBay they were no help said they would open a ticket.

·2 years agoI believe the cause of this issue is a repeatable bug in eBay's system.
This issue can be replicated by following these steps.
Step 1
Print a single label using the /ship/single/ interface. A pop-up saying 'Use your funds for buying shipping labels" continues to show, as of late December 2023, each time this interface is visited. Clicking "OK" or "X" to close it means it will still show on the next attempt to print a single label.
In our case, 4" x 6" label size is selected on this interface and it works as expected. We also have PayPal selected as the payment method.
Step 2
After using the single label interface, use the Bulk label interface.
On the Review pop-up, the label size switches to "8.5 x 11 - 2 Per Page". Changing this to 4"x6" will print correctly, and it will remember the 4"x6" label size UNLESS you visit the single label interface, at which point the bulk label interface forgets the 4"x6" preference.
In short, using the Single label interface is the trigger that resets the paper size on the bulk label interface. This only started happening in late December 2023.

·2 years agoYou need to go to your PayPal account and change the setting there to 4 x 6 and it will stay that way in ebay when you do bulk shipping. When ebay decided to change the payment method it reset the original setting in my PayPal account.

·2 years agoPayPal no longer prints labels from ebay, so those settings are gone. In fact PayPal now uses ShipStation to print their labels. However, you can still charge postage to your PayPal account if you like.

·2 years agoI have been having the same issue on and off for the past week. Three orders in a row it will be fine, and then the next one it will flip over. It is becoming a pain to have to double check that setting each time I print, or risk having to go back in and reprint 1 by 1.

·2 years agoOut of curiosity, are you flipping between using the single label printing interface and the bulk label printing interface?
I was having this issue and it hasn't happened for three days. I was using the single label interface and then using the bulk interface around the time it started happening, but I've only been using the bulk label printing in recent days and haven't tried to recreate the issue yet by using the single interface.

·2 years agoThe Single Label interface for printing one order at a time (/ship/single/) seems to save the 4" x 6" setting.
Though, both interfaces continues to show the same pop-up about eBay changing the default shipping label payment to Payouts instead of PayPal, and then not save the label size preference on the Bulk Shipping interface.
Here is the pop-up that continues to show up even though I've clicked "Okay, got it!" many times.
eBay remembers my PayPal preference, but not the label size on the Bulk label interface.

·2 years agoCross-linking this to a newer thread with another seller having the same issue with eBay not saving the 4" x 6" setting in bulk labels.
...And, here's another thread with the same issue.

·2 years agoI received a prompt yesterday on the eBay Bulk Shipping interface saying that payouts are the default method and that I could still use PayPal.
I don't think this is a new thing, but I did have to change my payment method back to PayPal. It worked as expected.
Then today, I went to bring again and it did "remember" that PayPal is my default. However, as it did a few days ago the paper size setting was changed (not by me) to 8.5 x 11 (2 per page).
So, something is going on with eBay's bulk shipping interface non remembering the paper size. Perhaps the change from payouts, back to PayPal, reset something, but if that was the case my shipments yesterday should have tried to revert to 8.5 x 11.
This is mildly annoying that it keeps changing the settings, but I'll know to keep an eye on it and see if the 4x6 and PayPal will "stick".

·2 years agoThis happens sometimes - something on eBay's end changes a seller's settings from 4x6 labels on bulk to 8x11 labels. Here's a screenshot of how to change it back if you're using bulk labels:

·2 years agoHad this happen some time ago and finally found the problem, the affected setting can only be changed when you have bulk labels to print, here is the link to where I found out how to fix it. https://community.ebay.com/t5/Shipping/bulk-shipping-problem/m-p/34122483

·2 years agoThanks. The confusion / mystery is that we use the bulk label interface every day and it's been set to 4"x6" for many years and we didn't purposely change it today. Though, I just did a preview of a new label and it did change itself to the 2 per page, so I'll try to change it back tomorrow and hope it sticks.
It seems like eBay may have had a glitch that temporarily switched that setting for some of us without realizing it.

·2 years agoThis issue was a one time thing.
It seems the paper size did change to "8.5 x 11 - 2 Per Page" on eBay's Bulk Shipping review label interface, as suggested in an earlier comment.
That's a two step process to "Change paper size", and I didn't change it yesterday, so something seemed to happen on eBay's end to make it change.
In case other folks come upon this in the future, this wasn't related to any printer or PDF settings, but rather the Bulk label interface shown in the screenshot below somehow changed from 4" x 6" to 8.5" x 11".

·2 years agoOn the create label page look to the lower right and reselect the 4x6 format before you print/pay for the label.
fixintoscrap
·2 years agoThanks. I've been printing 4x6 labels for years and haven't changed that setting, so it's unclear why things went goofy today.
I did plan to check that the paper size tomorrow to ensure it wasn't changed, but what we experienced today was either a bug or a setting that eBay changed without prompting.
I suspect it was a temporary glitch.

·2 years agoAgain, this just started happening today around 3:30 EST.
A work around is to do to the Shipping Labels page and select Reprint Label and the label prints as expected upon reprint.
I suspect this is a temporary eBay bug, since we've been using the same printer and settings for years and didn't change anything to make them print two per page.
Also, the issue is within the PDF, not related to paper size, so this has to do with the label file's rendering, which is done by eBay or their shipping partner.

OP2 years agoI know about how to print that way I was asking if anybody else is having trouble with the bulk shipping. For us this is the second day this happened

·2 years agoAs mentioned, I had the same issue today with bulk printing labels, but it would seem to be either a temporary glitch or something that's not impacting a lot of sellers. Usually, if there's a wide spread bug in the shipping labels there are a lot of people posting and commenting.
In any case, a workaround if it keeps happening is to reprint the label because you can't change the PDF file to fit a 4" x 6" label.
I'll try to print again tomorrow to see if this was a temporary glitch.
I use a Rollo printer, but the PDF file was the problem, not the printer or printer settings because if you download the PDF file the problem still existed regardless of the printer or paper size, since there were two labels rendering on each 8.5 x 11 page within the PDF document. Normally, the PDF renders one label per page as 4"x6" pages within the PDF.

·2 years agoStill having problems with Bulk Shipping where the labels are being sent to my Thermal printer Horizontally instead of Vertically and the settings for my labels in eBay is set to 4x6 but the digital transfer to my printer is set at 8.5x11 for bulk printing and cannot be edited. I ship 3 days a week, Mon, Wed, Fri and this has now occurred for separate ship days in 2024. I do find that by printing one label at a time it does send the information to my thermal correctly but it is a tedious process, especially if you have a lot going out.
wastingtime101
·2 years agoThat sounds more like a printer setting. @rfmtm ?
rfmtm
·2 years agoMake sure your bulk label format is still set to 4x6, which is a separate setting than for a single label. See wastingtime101's post 12.
If still a problem make sure your browser is opening PDF files with Adobe and orientation is set to Auto.
If still not working come back with OS, browser, and printer model?
Does the print preview look correct? A screen shot of the entire preview page will help.

·2 years agoYes, confirming this happened to an order with two labels.
There are some settings to change the print size on the preceding screen, but I didn't change them or pay attention if something changed on that side.
I don't have any other orders to place right now, but will explore more as more orders come in.
