·10 months agoYes, they can. I see you are a seller and use USPS and give no other choice. You need to ship by Ground Advantage USPS since that is what you offer right now. You can't change shipping method on items you currently have sold, but you can offer more options on your items still for sale.

·10 months agoAre you asking this question as a seller who wants to ship by another method or as a buyer who has had bad experiences from purchases made from sellers who use USPS?
The reason I ask is because your own listings use USPS and you don't offer buyers another method if they're unhappy with USPS.
Also, one of your listings has free shipping (so you pay the shipping price out of the money you receive (after fees) from the sale. And the other item with a $6 shipping (GA) would cost a lot more if you were to ship with UPS or Fedex. You'd have to either increase the selling prices or the shipping charges to pay for the more expensive services. (IMO, Fedex and UPS for the small jewelry items you sell are not worth the $$$.)
Be aware that because your current listings advertise USPS Ground Advantage, you cannot ship by UPS or Fedex. (You are allowed to upgrade to priority mail but cannot downgrade what you've listed.)
As a seller, I only ship by USPS and have never had a problem with late deliveries. And in 20 years, only 1 or 2 packages were lost. (The losses were over a decade ago.)

·10 months agoUSPS: As a buyer on the west coast with most items coming from the other side of the Mississippi, have had very few problems with items being slow and if they are a little late, don't really bother me.

·10 months agoMy items sold usually get to buyers on time with United States Post Office.
'on time'...there are reasons for items maybe not arriving on time...like the weather.
As long as item is delivered I don't see a problem.
If you want something fast because buying in a brick and mortar store is better suited for you.

·10 months agoI use USPS exclusively and have not had a late delivery for months. But I manage my delivery time and handling time.
I specify economy shipping which increases the delivery time, and a 5 day handling time.
I would not ship via FEDEX ground to save money and cause my shipments to take a beating.
I avoid UPS ground because my packages are small (under 1 lb).

·10 months agoYou could always ask a seller that question. If they'd be willing, they could change the method/charge for another service.

·10 months agoWell other ways are Fed Ex or UPS but expect to pay more money. As a seller buyers want to pay as little as possible so I don't offer those services. Cost is double. If you or a buyer needs an item on time and if there is any possible way you can purchase locally it might be better offer buy locally than online.
