ALL shipping costs on eBay have suddenly skyrocketed?
Summary: La discusión gira en torno a un incremento repentino de los costos de envío en eBay, tema planteado inicialmente por erzengelb. It's currently just after midnight on May 25th, 2026 (Memorial Day). The shipping costs on every single listing on this platform appear to have increased exponentially within the past hour. I'm currently looking at a $15 action figure with a USPS Ground Advantage shipping cost of $990 (the seller is less than 200 miles away). Meanwhile, listings whose shipping costs were $7 earlier are now showing as $25 to $50.
Has.....something happened?? A bug in the website?? I've deleted cookies and cleared cache and reopened my browser, but I'm still showing ludicrous, laughable shipping costs across the board. So I don't guess I'll be doing any Memorial Day shopping on eBay, I guess.

OP4 months agoIt wasn't just that particular listing, it was EVERY listing on this platform at the time I made the post here. The issue has since resolved itself, and there was in fact a glitch that occurred around midnight that night.

·4 months agoThis sounds like an error by the seller. I once during the process of printing my label accidently mis typed box dimensions. When the postage price showed $90 I went back and corrected it. If it was an item that I wanted I would notify the seller of this issue as they mot be aware of the error.

·4 months agoMore likely they missed the decimal when changing the flat rate shipping cost and it's supposed to be 9.99. Almost did that changing the price on one of my items last night..

·4 months agoThe G.I. Joe one you are referencing is obviously a mistake by the seller, as some of his other boxed ones show shipping at $8.99 - so not the best example.
You will also find some sellers showing a low buy it now price and more costly shipping - they are just moving it around a bit to get better placement in the search engine.
Another one is sellers who run out of stock, they will either inflate the price or the shipping price so no one orders the item, and when they restock, they lower the prices to their correct amount.

·4 months agoMy guess is the GI Joe dude has his decimal point in the wrong spot, since it looks like a flat rate was entered manually.

·4 months ago@erzengelb Can you post a couple of links to listings you are talking about? I just did a few random searches and I don't see anything that screams there is an issue.
