Additional shipping cost
I have recently sold to a woman in New York who buys and pays for my ladies, and then, after the fact, requests special shipping ( 14" x12"x12" boxes and Signature Confirmation) which end up costing me considerable extra dollars. I am not happy and have twice requested that she pay me the extra cost not included in what she paid for shipping. With all the security rules on Ebay, how can I request that money and receive it? She just ordered another and has done the same thing. This order is short over $10.00. I have already told her without the extra $$$ I am just going to not ship at all and REFUND her purchase. I have requested to send her a Paypal Invoice. In your experience, is there a better way for her to get me the extra money?

·2 years agoIn my experience, the best option when a buyer requests something like that depends on whether you're willing to comply with their demands.
Option 1: Tell the buyer you can ship as advertised in the listing and if they're not happy with that you can cancel their order (buyer requested). You can also report the buyer for making demands not included in the listing and add them to your blocked list.
Option 2: Tell the buyer if they want special shipping the cost will be $x additional and you can cancel the order and relist with higher shipping to meet their demands, or you can ship as stated in the listing, or you can just outright cancel the order.
I generally go with option 1 since my packing is excellent to begin with.
