Adding tracking number shows as not valid as well as loosing Large flat rate in combined shipping
Lately i have been having trouble with printing labels for combined orders i don't know what triggers it however occasionally i wont be able to select "large flat rate box " from USPS unless i ship orders 1 at a time even if they are all going to the same person same address and everything for a while that was fine id just copy the tracking and add to the subsequent items that were sent in the same box however this morning i am getting this when i just printed this label and it wouldn't allow me to combine the two orders with out the large flat rate disappearing this has been a problem for about a month however the invalid tracking just showed up this morning i don't know what to do here with out costing me more money in shipping and unpacking the orders and sending in multiple boxes i don't want to just "mark it as shipped" because then that could affect my seller performance metrics since one of those is "tracking number uploaded on time" what can i do for this is any one else experiencing this have you found a work around?

·6 months agoThe tracking number shown in the photo you attached to your post has a lot more numbers than a regular 22-character number. Yours shows at least 32 numbers. No wonder eBay and the USPS told you "This tracking number is not valid...".
I easily fully overwrite and replace USPS tracking numbers at eBay with new ones, or even occasionally add new complete numbers with no problems. After doing so, one should always send the buyer a message explaining any replacement numbers (or additional tracking numbers, for instance, if a buyer's single purchase has to be shipped in more than one box).

Looks like you hit paste twice @legacylaptops because that tracking number is repeating.

·6 months agoRegarding the tracking error, that typically happens when the buyer used guest checkout and used "buy it now" instead of "add to cart" resulting in multiple orders, each with a different guest ID. Check the IDs and you'll see they're probably 1-2 characters off.
Follow eBay's advice from their help page. eBay's system is set up to show you when orders can be combined into the same package and when they can't if you use bulk shipping.

Tip
If you’re shipping multiple orders to the same buyer in a single package, the Bulk Shipping Tool will indicate if the order can be combined. Simply select the Combine orders per buyer link and complete the label purchase. Tracking will be automatically uploaded to each order, and the value of the combined items will be assessed for any liability coverage included or added to the label purchase.

When you don't see a flat rate package option @legacylaptops , check your dimensions. When package dimensions exceed eBay's programmed dimensions, eBay will not show you those shipping options. To access these services, enter the following package dimensions:

·6 months agoI ran into that problem when combining multiple items into 1 shipment. I used to be able to copy tracking number and paste it to other packages that were combined. I finally went to shipping labels, clicked on tracking number, copied that tracking number, went back to the packages I had combined and pasted to the remaining "add tracking number" and it has worked every time. Just a lot of additional steps to do the same thing that was so simple.

How to combine shipping fees if the buyer hasn't paid yet
If a buyer is purchasing multiple items from you, and they haven't already benefited from a shipping discount, they can select Request combined shipping in their shopping cart. You can then send them an invoice with the new combined costs if you have combined invoices enabled on your account. Here's how to check:
You can then issue a combined invoice to your buyer. To do this from My eBay:
To issue a combined invoice from Seller Hub:
😂There are certain situations when a buyer won't be able to request combined shipping through the shopping cart. For example, if the items are discounted, free shipping is already offered, or the listings are set up to require immediate payment.😂
Combining shipping fees after the buyer paid
If a buyer has already paid for shipping, you can still offer a combined shipping discount by sending a partial refund to the buyer from Orders in Seller Hub.
