8 McCullough Dr New Castle, DE 19726 Scam
I am seeing an alarming number of sellers on EBay and Amazon, complaining about this address and the whole concept makes no sense to me. Sold a $50 used Go Pro camera with a tons of unopened, unused accessories. Post office said that the address could not be found. Googled the address and found EBay community complaints. Immediately notified EBay that there is something wrong with the transaction and pointed them to the EBay community page.
Sent a message to the buyer who said she was from the country Georgia. So why would someone from Georgia order a used Camera from US and then pay for shipping to Georgia from US? Sure enough, like clockwork, the Buyer sent a message that the camera "had a crack". Absolutely not.
I asked EBay to step in and they asked the Buyer to ship the item back. Supposedly I am responsible for the shipping. The last EBay rep I spoke to, "Liz" seemed completely clueless and did not think this whole routine was a scam even after the exact same routine described by numerous people is being followed.
I guess the idea is for these scammers to keep the items and have the seller refund the money back and not deal with return shipping costs.
The moral of the story is that do not sell items on EBay. Expensive ones anyway. Sellers are getting ripped off. Thankfully, this was a lesson that was not expensive.

·8 months agoI have the same issue with this address. An item was shipped to this address, then tracking said he had corrected the address! so it was never shown delivered!!

OP1 year agoSuper helpful! I don't understand why EBay reps are so clueless.
They issued a shipping label for the Buyer even though their policy explicitly says that:
Not covered:
This address is a "Mail Redirection"
I let them know that I am not paying for the return shipping and will not sell on EBay if they continue to support buyers from the address. I also let them know that EBay can't act clueless given that so many people are complaining about this address for 10 years now.

·1 year agoThere has been back and forth on this.
In the beginning freight forwarding was one of few ways a seller could get a return cancelled.
Then someone in middle management, who likely never used ebay had the bright idea that shipping an item to a freight forwarder was not proof of your item being shipped to a freight forwarder and changed the policy.
Now yes it is proof but it depends on whom you get on the phone what they will do for you. If you get overseas call center CSRs you may need some extra calls, the chatbot or a FB or Twitter DM

OP1 year agoI sent them links from the EBay community pages yet the reps don't even bother to understand the issue on hand or read the links sent. Every rep I talk to seem to be confused. No notes. Nothing.
They keep mechanically reading off a script. I had to repeat the entire story, 4 times so far, make them read my message exchange with the buyer being out of the country and let the reps know that EBay is emboldening scammers to keep ripping off Sellers.
The last time around, I had to make sure they put that in the notes for future reps and also asked the rep to send a message to the backend team to flag the address as an Mail forwarding/redirection service which should not be covered by EBay Money Back Guarantee, which she said she would.
Hopefully that would permanently block that address from abusing the system.

·1 year agoEbay got sued several years ago, over no seller protection or items shipped to freight forwarding by international buyers ,do to scams to defraud sellers . And was forced to remove all buyer protections when items are shipped Freight Forwarding .

·1 year agoThat's a freight forwarder address. International buyers use freight forwarders when you don't ship direct to their country or when the direct international shipping options you offer are cost-prohibitive compared to using their forwarder.
Most packages pass through there without issues. Sometimes there are problems.
All that said, I think you'll come out OK on this one because you said, "Sent a message to the buyer who said she was from the country Georgia."
Because the buyer confirmed they had the item reshipped to another country, what you can do is contact eBay customer service and point out the item was forwarded and the buyer's eMBG protections are void.
