Fixed rate shipping to rural zipcodes or Alaska/Hawaii

USPS just announced that packages under 1 LB shipped to a remote rural zipcode or Alaska and Hawaii will be a flat $15.95 . The list of remote zipcodes changes or is updated regularly so there is no way to know in advance until you go to print out the label. I have always offered flat rate shipping so that I can pass on the EBay discount and I am not in it to make money off of shipping. However, if I offer a flat rate of say $6.00 and the buyer lives in a remote zipcode then I'd have to eat the $9.95 extra. Other than offer "calculated price" in shipping is there a way to still offer a flat rate but not be subject to increase when I go to ship?

      New USPS shipping rates 7/12/26

The below message is per Ebay in their messages. Yet today when printing ebay labels, for a 4 oz envelope, we are being charged as if it were 15 oz! So what is unchanged. 📦 Updates to USPS Mail & Shipping Service Pricing  Ground Advantage: although USPS is changing how it prices packages under 1 lb, the good news is eBay Labels will continue to offer the same four weight tiers with no rate increases at this time. Rates for packages over 1 lb are also unchanged.

Shipping with Pirate Ship vs eBay Shipping

I sold an item today using calculated shipping. The buyer paid over $100 shipping (the item is heavy and large), but in reality, shipping came to $75 using USPS Ground Advantage and only $25 with Fed Ex. If I purchase my label through eBay, my understanding is that eBay keeps the overage in shipping. If I use Pirate Ship, I can refund the buyer $50-75 in shipping. Before I proceed with buying on Pirate Ship, I want to make sure I am not violating eBay policy. Is it ok to use Pirate Ship with the policy changes in Late June? Thanks!

Shipping items in 2 boxes for 1 buyer

How would I go about getting 2 shipping labels for items I’m sending to one buyer? I have a buyer who has bought around 32 items and for all of the items to ship safely I will need to ship it in 2 boxes. I haven’t sent an invoice yet as they are still bidding. Any help is appreciated Thank you

UPS SHIPPING FROM CANADA TO USA

GOOD AFTERNOON! As Ebay is automatically charging the taxes, will a buyer have to pay brokerage fees if I use UPS to ship from Canada to USA? Thank you.

Shipping stickers: which ones are actually worth it?

I've heard the tales of "fragile" and "do not bend" stickers resulting in more damage than what would otherwise be received. But surely not every shipping sticker is useless, right? I'm pretty sure "Live animals/plants" for example, is not just useful, but mandatory if that's what you're shipping. Same with Biohazards (though that's...less common to find for sale on eBay XD) Which stickers do you think could actually be useful in niche situations? Is a "this side up" sticker, for example, useless in the same way as a "fragile" sticker, or is there legitimate reason to put that on?

eBay Standard Envelope and eBay International Shipping

I sell mostly trading cards and sports cards. I utilize ESE for the shipping. I recently had a buyer from Canada make a purchase of a single trading card under the EIS. The label that eBay printed for me is the standard ESE label for shipping. Do I just package the card as usual in a plain white envelope and mail it to the EIS hub that way? Thanks.

Adding a logo to your eBay shipping label

Hello, I'm wondering if it is possible to specifically add your eBay store logo or even social media account tags for additional branding opportunities  onto your shipping label specifically. I tried the process below however, it appears that really only applies to packing slips from what I saw. When your shown the printing preview when following the selections below, there's a check box for shipping label specifically. In the preview image, there's a photo icon that allows you to add images to the label, but when you add an image and try to print it, the image disappears. But also, I'm not looking to add it on a per label basis, I want the logo to be on the shipping labels by default. I'm not sure if eBay has the capability for this feature, and if not, they really should add it.   Orders > Select Order(s) > Print Packing Slips > Customize > Your Store Logo

USPS Marks eBay Orders as Delivered Before Buyers Actually Receive Them

Has anyone else been dealing with USPS scanning packages as "Delivered" even though the buyer doesn't actually receive them until the next day? I sell decals and stickers on eBay, and this has been happening more often lately. Buyers see the "Delivered" status and, when the package isn't there, they immediately open an Item Not Received case or send messages asking for a refund. In most cases, the package shows up the following day, and I have to repeatedly explain that USPS sometimes marks items as delivered early due to sorting or carrier scanning errors. Unfortunately, many buyers assume the item is lost as soon as they see the delivery notification. I'm curious: How often does this happen to other sellers? Is there anything sellers can do to reduce the number of cases opened because of premature delivery scans? Have you found any message templates that help reassure buyers? It can be frustrating having to explain the same issue multiple times, especially when the tracking technically shows "Delivered" but the customer still doesn't have the package. Thanks in advance for any advice or experiences you can share.

Wrong shipping prices on USPS Shipping

I just spent over an hour with eBay customer service. eBay's shipping calculator and "Buy Shipping Label" screen are over charging sellers. One out of every three orders are overcharging. Sellers are being charged for a higher weight class. USPS raised prices today but stated that eBay shipping prices will not go up. To see if you are being over charged on an order, on the Buy Shipping Label page, put in a size of 8X6X2 and a weight of 4oz. Then change the weight to 8oz. If you get the same label price you are being over charged. There should be a price change for these two different wights. Currently the only way around this eBay malfunction is to buy your label from Pirate Ship. They tend to have prices within a few pennies of eBay but you will see a huge difference today. A 4oz package may be $2 more on eBay. Not sure is eBay will stop overcharging their sellers any time soon. Please contact their customer support team if you see this issue. They may only correct this for sellers that contact them. Let them know that your orders are defaulting to the wrong weight class and you are being charged for the USPS increase when you shouldn't be. If their agent uses the shipping calculator and changes the weight as I instructed, they will see the issue.

Shocked by eBay price of G.A. label to *Rural* zip code, PirateShip seems to maintain steady discount.

I was vaguely aware of the USPS changes ... All I knew (thought) was the changes on eBay only affected non-contiguous locations (Hawaii, Alaska, etc) ... I rarely ship outside the lower 48 so I didn't care ... little did I know there was a rural zipcode exception too. Shipping label from Chicago to Tennessee that cost $5.42 yesterday now costs $7.42? Wowza!! That was a wake-up call. So I read about eBay policy and then checked PirateShip policy. Some contradictory info here and there but appears PirateShip's policy doesn't parse out rural zipcodes (as of yet). So eBay had it at $7.42 and PirateShip is still at like $5.42 so at least as of right now and in this specific case, you can apparently still save good money at PirateShip on certain labels where eBay has failed us. Let's hope this structure lasts.

      USPS PRICE INCREACE

📦 Updates to USPS Mail & Shipping Service Pricing  Ground Advantage: although USPS is changing how it prices packages under 1 lb, the good news is eBay Labels will continue to offer the same four weight tiers with no rate increases at this time. Rates for packages over 1 lb are also unchanged. This is what eBay posted regarding the price increase effect 7/12/26 - Just went to print labels for shipping on Monday (our post office isn't open on Saturdays!) and found the price of the label needed went from $6.75 to $840!!!! How is this NOT CHANGING THE PRICES????
