Coin grading requirements
The new coin grading requirements are a disaster for sellers. I NEVER list an uncertified coin's grade. The problem is that nonprofessional grading is extremely subjective and can be very misleading and deceptive. Good photography allows the buyer to determine their own assessment of grade and value. When the seller assigns a grade, it may create a liability with a buyer who does not agree.
I WILL NOT CONTINUE TO SELL ON EBAY UNTIL THIS IS CHANGED.
Who did Ebay consult with before making this mandatory? I hope other sellers protest and walk away from listing until this is revoked. (I am a LONG-TIME small seller on Ebay, about 500 - 800 sales a year. They won't miss me, but they will miss a thousand of me if I am correct in my assessment of this disaster.
