Your prices are 63% higher than similar items, WHAT!!! which ones?
Your prices are 63% higher than similar items, WHAT which ones? So I can't find them and ebay's dead link that says adjust prices doesn't work, how do you stop these popups.

·5 months agoI think the key word here is "similar". Which is a lot different to "like for like".
I often sell items that sometimes come in three flavours. That is 1. very good condition with accessories - 2. average condition just the main item - and 3. non working for parts.
I expect ebay would quite rightly say they are similar and perhaps include the price of the non working item in their estimations, but as I believe they are probably not comparing like for like I think it's best just to ignore any of their suggestions.

·5 months agoI stop them by ignoring them. I am not trying to be the lowest priced.

·5 months agoProblem with that is EBAY does NOT give accurate information (they lump new and old items together and do not account for different color/size/model #).

·5 months agoI get the 37% - I wonder if there's just a few random percentage numbers eBay uses?
Also, when I list eBay's 'suggested prices' come up - stuff that on the regular goes for $35 is like '$11.05' or something, an item I'm listing for $19.50 comes up something like $4.07, etc. My prices aren't high and nothing specific in whatever brand/type subcategory I'm selling in has prices like that.
My feeling is that eBay averages an entire category or market to come up with these determinations. For instance, for a car-mounted bike rack the spare nuts and bolts set would be averaged in with the full kit. I recall their doing that years ago when they were trying to regulate shipping charges.

·5 months agoSo true. Ebay suggested pricing seem to be derived from lowest sold and not median values.

·5 months agoJust ignore that, it’s a ploy by eBay to get you to lower your prices.
Unfortunately you can’t stop them.
