I just checked my payments status and they are blocked. Ans i have this message on top :
"Your payouts are blocked while we review your account. This is a routine process to keep your account safe and takes up to 6 business days to complete. We’ll email you if we need more info"
Ebay didn´t even sent me a message to explain this

OP3 years agoFor those who are asking my problem was solved next morning . Probably something to do with Payoneer. Those who are using Payoneer be very careful . Never send Paypal payments to Payoneer that can raise flags and they start an investigation . They usually start by sending you a "friendly" mail asking you to provide them again your ID then they start asking you for more and more stuff , until they ask you to send them at least 6 months of your Paypal activity so they can check if you are not laundering money. Also never leave too much money in your Payoneer account its not safe .

·3 years agoSo it isn't the eBay seller, but the payment processor and its banking arrangements that are being checked.
Doing that randomly would be a first step in investigation, then focussing if a pattern emerges.
EBay sellers are collateral damage.

·3 years agoOf all the things EBAY incessantly communicates to us via Messages (eBay credit card, business loans, the dumbest program on Earth, A.K.A. Promoted Listings Advanced), they can't send a single form email explaining to us that the current hold on our payouts is a routine process that has nothing at all to do with our seller performance? Really?

·3 years agoJust got this message today. 100% feedback since 1998. I did recently start selling anything I could dig up to help make some extra money on hard times. Not a single complaint. Two refunds issues diligently and for no fault of mine.
Hope its cleared soon. We go out of town Saturday and that’s our trip money locked up in there.

·3 years agoPonder for a moment the unimaginable arrogance of a company holding your money and providing NO VALID REASON WHY. I have been an upstanding seller on eBay since 1998 and BEND OVER BACKWARDS to take care of my buyers. There is NO JUSTIFICATION FOR ANY OF THIS. You are being put in a very stressful and defensive position and being punished WHEN YOU HAVE DONE NOTHING WRONG. There is something very wrong about this. Very, very wrong and I pray that whatever powers are behind this are held accountable at some point. If this was a law enforcement body or any government body pulling this it would be a CLEAR violation of the 4th amendment. We are being investigated and having OUR MONEY HELD before any proof of any crime has been committed. SHAME ON YOU, EBAY - SHAME ON YOU. How can I trust you any longer?

I have scheduled monthly payouts, and have option for on demand payouts as well, yesterday evening I have initiated on demand payout and it went trough Ebay, shows as completed (not had received yet probably because it's weekend), and today I checked and have this red sign saying that payouts are blocked. Not very worried for now, but would like that to be resolved ASAP.

·3 years agoI got one today as well. No reason given. I sent a few emails to other people this has happened to and all three said it was resolved within 1 day.
Oddly enough, I had an issue with a customer returning the wrong movie (I feel on purpose) and eBay refunded him and I submitted a complaint because people can apparently get free movies from eBay sellers now, and within 12 hours, my payouts are blocked. I think that is very odd.

·3 years agoThe same thing happened to me yesterday and today my account is normal again, I was withheld my funds for approximately 12 hours.
Do not take any action, just wait for it to be fixed.

You are drop shipping from a retailer. It is in your feedback and your feedback is very poor. Most state non delivery. Drop shipping from a retailer is a big problem and violation. Sorry.

·3 years agoJust had this happen today. Anybody have updates on this process. I called customer support and they said I had nothing to worry about (not that I full trust that). They stated it is a random selection for sellers that are either new, high volume, or high dollar sellers. I hate that eBay gives no formal notice of communication in the form of an eBay message or email. Love having an income stream unexpectedly stopped for no fault of my own.

·3 years agoAre those of you who are non-US based sellers aware that Payoneer's US bank was/is SVB the "failed" bank all over the news recently? It was sold by the US goverment to FirstCitizens Bancshares another US behemoth bank when banks merge EVERYTHING is gone over. Maintaining a US bank account is EXPENSIVE and can sometimes be risky, the current payment processing system in place makes a bank account MANDATORY. Not so when paypal was handling the money. Is that what is causing your account to be "reviewed" ? IDK but it cant be helping. My point is this paypal was accurate fast, and fair when it came to chargebacks. Paypal was also a big part of why eBay WAS sucessfull. I know I miss paypal being the processor, that way the folks at eBay could concentrate on screwing up other areas of this once great company and LEAVE THE MONEY ALONE...

·3 years agoThe only thing I found out from talking to them on the phone, was that it is a "random selection" and that there is nothing in particular on the account that triggers it other than just being a high volume seller or high dollar seller.

·3 years agoThat is my fear, is that there is some behind the scenes non-sense. I have been on ebay for a long time and know very well that ebay is very inconsistent and unreliable with regards to how their own policies and statements are.

anyways...here in the States, this is becoming the "New Normal" with these "routine" verifications. I am not sure why the payouts are frozen during a review, but that's the procedure. They are required to do these checks regularly (or when an event pokes the bot) to comply with U.S. KYC (and other) laws.......
I wouldn't be concerned at this point if there are no abnormalities...
Answer any requests quickly and accurately....
(Yes, it has happened to me and it was over very quickly)

OP3 years agoYes it was remved the next morning . I sent a mail to customer care and they told me that they reviewed the account but found no problem so they lifted the payment restriction.

OP3 years agoI use payoneer , its my personal account . I made some purchases today , nothing out of the ordinary , one of the purchases took like 10 minutes to process. I also have a return request from two weeks ago but already sent UPS label and i am waiting the buyer to return the item so i can process the refund . (buyer has until april 18 to send back the item..) Not sure if all this is related

·3 years agoYou are in Mexico, thus Payoneer rather than Managed Payments.
There have been reports from Sri Lankan, Pakistani, and Israeli sellers among others of such investigations.
Looks like eBay is paying particular attention to foreign accounts.
Ah--- Payoneer was a customer of the failed Silicon Valley Bank .
