You cannot make this up.
I had a ticket open with tech/site support for a week.
Finally got an update today.
They first tell me "the issue you are experiencing is not due to a site issue".
Then "the exact section of the page you are using for listing is currently having some changes done to it that may affect your ability to use it".
HOW is that not a site issue?

·4 months agoSite issue = site wide (DDOS for example)
Page issue = coding update, etc.
But they're being unnecessarily pedantic - part of their CYA. The entire site can go down and if they say anything at all, it'll be "Some users may be experiencing brief interruptions in some of the functions of the site."

·4 months agoI agree with you that is a very stupid explanation. EBAY can and should do better than this.

OP4 months agoI'm not sure what has happened to their back office tech support team in the last couple years, but you have to literally draw them a diagram and even then they can't understand.
I literally sent support a video of my screen showing the exact issue, the support team reviewed the video and confirmed this was an issue I was seeing, only for their BO team to say "there is no issue".
Getting them to admit anything is wrong with the functionality of their site is like pulling teeth.

·4 months agoDo you remember EBAY worst screwup years ago when they "deleted all photos"? That little fiasco took me several months to re-photograph everything and I was pulling my hair out. Now I keep a copies of all photos and description on my computer in case another disaster like that happens.
Mistakes do happen and will continue to happen, but it sure doesn't make the Seller's life any easier.

OP4 months agoWhen was this? Been selling off and on since 2014, full time since 2019, and a regular reader of the boards, don't remember that.

·4 months agoSounds like a section of a page issue.
