"You can add up to 40 photos ..."
Creating a new listing just now -- "You can add up to 40 photos and a 1-minute video."
But when I went to add more than 24, I was told I'm limited to 24.
Is anyone else seeing this?

·4 months agoI had that happen yesterday, too. I listed a custom tandem bicycle and really needed more photos to display the components, drive train, wheels, paint, etc. so ended up making collages.

·4 months agoSwitching to my buyer mode, I can't possibly imagine where over 24 photos is necessary. I don't have the attention span anymore. If it takes more than 24 photos to show flaws and errors don't sell it.

This is Hoss...and YES I’m experiencing the same 24 photo limit warning. To add to the frustration,
I’m trying to put my item under the vintage category, but eBay gives me no option but contemporary under the “sell similar” mode. It seems like the sell similar would be so much quicker to use, but the “glitches” in the system really slow you down.

I would have thought this would be resolved by now.
I'm listing a lot of maybe 5-10 items and figured I could use more than the 24 photos to show flaws and all views, etc.
Although the top of the listing is still telling me I can add 40 photos, it won't load more than 24.
That's fine, but then delete the language about 40.

·4 months agoBe careful when selling multiple items by the each to be as clear as possible if selling, for example, some "widgets", but you only intend the purchase to be considered "1 at a time" out of the batch shown in the listing photo. I've seen some sellers post a big pile of an item without any intention (as near as I can tell) that the buyer can buy a single "lot" consisting of all items shown in the photo. That can lead to a dispute with a buyer and a threat (or actuality) of being accused of "bait and switch" and threatened with negative feedback, when the buyer gets a single item but was (or at least claims to have been) expecting, say, 20 of them for the posted purchase price. If for example I have 3 items that I want to sell by the "each", I will post 1 or more photos of one item, upload a "separator" picture like a photo of a neutral grey background, then post more of the second such item, then another grey background photo, and then post the final set for the 3d item.

I don't do that kind of selling, but that sounds like really good advice for people who do.

·4 months agoIt would be nice to have the option to include 40 photos for non-motors listings. Even for a nominal fee, 50 cents or something. Seems like ebay is leaving money on the table, and they are not well known for doing that 🙂

·4 months ago@adamcartwright eBay was testing this out on my account for a couple of nights last week. For fun I created a test listing and uploaded random photos to it. I was able to upload 40 and I could see them in preview. I never tried to list though. Then, someone posted thread about this and said they tried to do 40 photos and ran into the issue you are having. I then tried again and I could no longer do it. It seems they are testing things out. I'm not sure in what situation 40 photos would be needed except maybe if you were selling a vehicle. Years ago when I told vehicles on eBay I think it was capped at 20. I know there were times I wanted more.

I’m impressed 😉
But the average (mine) attention span may not be.
On another site I sell on, I somehow got the idea that the algorithm favored at least 10, and a video.
I now believe just having ‘10’ doesn’t matter, 5-7 good pictures do, with a video.
