WW2 German helmet 3 day suspension
Someone got offended by my WW2 German helmet. The helmet has a partial black,white,and red flag sticker on the side. It is not a Nazi symbol. It is not an item that represents hate. It is a flag sticker of the country.
So the bots or someone that doesn't know what they are looking at from eBay took down my listing and suspended my account for three days. I'm done, I've had it with their **bleep** I'm going full on with the rest of my inventory with another company that has no problem with it. The people are right on Youtube.

·5 months agoThe rules on German WWII stuff can be confusing to say the least.
Pin & badges with helmets on them are ok but a helmet isn't. A helmet gets taken down but a bayonet that might have killed someone doesn't.
There's no rhyme or reason to it so it's probably best not to "poke the bear" and sell such items elsewhere.

Are you talking just eBay?
Or everywhere, and if so, why??? Are you also denying that the NSDAP existed? If so, who did all those horrible things between 1939 and 1945, or did that not really happen either?
There are historical things that I remember from my youth that really happened back then. Today, the cancel culture pushers are saying it didn't happen. I'm just tired of this attempt to pretend we have always been good to each other and nothing bad has ever happened.
Just because you don't want to remember, doesn't mean we don't and that's why we have a special day every year to remember what happened to try to prevent it from happening again.

·5 months agoAnd how does trading and selling Nazi artifacts to particulars who’ll hoard them in their basements with their other Nazi paraphernalia teach anyone about the Holocaust?
Those things below in museums or in a dumpster.

·5 months agoThe Holocaust was a huge and terrible event and the worst thing that happened during WWII, but it wasn't the only thing that happened.
Some people like to collect war leftovers like shell casings, badges, uniforms, flags, Panzer tanks, pieces of the wall, propaganda leaflets dropped from airplanes (and the Goebbels crap), posters, battle photos, ration tins, helmets, and all kinds of other stuff not really related to the Holocaust, including stuff from other participating nations. I, for example, have a WWII 50 cal. ammo box from 'our side' that wasn't found anywhere near Germany and had nothing to do with the NSDAP ... would that be allowed on eBay?
At any rate, this is probably not the right place to discuss the war - only the fact that eBay is trying too hard to please those who are offended by remembering.

·5 months agoThe policy is pretty straightforward on that, actually, and just because someone reported it doesn't mean it's taken down (I've reported many things that were very clear policy violations and they were not removed).
What is the policy?
Listings or content that promote, perpetuate or glorify hatred, violence, or discrimination, including on the grounds of race, ethnicity, color, religion, disability, national origin, sex, gender and gender identity or sexual orientation, aren't allowed. That said, if you got a 3 Day Suspension because of it, you've either had similar policy violations recently or you tried to relist it after it was taken down. Never do that, if so. Once you've had an item removed, unless there is a clear fix and eBay does not say that you should not relist it, do not try to list it again here. You don't want repeated takedowns.

Is this the first time this particular listing or any other listings were removed? If you are relisting flagged items that will lead to a suspension. Recommendation is not to relist items which were removed.

You can do whatever you like but keep in mind that other sites could also have a problem with it and you may not even know until listing is removed. I once listed a screw driver box on Facebook and it was removed cause get this because I was selling a weapon. A screw driver box being a weapon, lol. Anyway so the point is you could have the same issues on other sites as well.
