Wrong item mistakenly sent to buyer!
It was an item over $799. Seller received it and has not opened it, thankfully.
All at my expense, may I propose to set up a simple return, and then send the correct item at my expense through eBay?
What is the most expeditious method so I can get back the wrong item which also is sold, so I can send it out ASAP?
I goofed, so I know it will cost me for this once-in-a-lifetime error of this kind.
Sheesh! What a mess I created!
Thanks to all.
And I intend to offer a conciliatory gift card for the buyer's inconvenience.

·3 years agoBeen there, done that. My items were inexpensive and many years prior to managed payments so i just had them mail to each other. Your need buyer to return it so you can refund and re-mail. Not a quick fix, sorry.

·3 years agoThis just happened to me and buyer received 2 pairs of jeans because I printed the wrong label and sent her the jeans she ordered and then a few days later the jeans meant for someone else. What happens when the buyer doesn’t reply to your request for her to return the item?

·2 years agoAs I’ve sadly learned they get to keep the item! If someone buys a $100 item and you inadvertently ship them a $10,000 item, they can keep the $10,000 item if they do not return it. Unbelievable. I just got off the phone with eBay and this is what they said. They told me I can contact law enforcement, which I am going to do.
