wrong address written by buyer but ebay still accepts his return request!
Hello,
Please I need advise. I sent an item to the US to the exact address as specified by EBAY checkout page.
The item is returned to me because of "Addressee unknown". The buyer decides to initiate a return. On the return request communication page I ask buyer to confirm his address was correct. Yet he admits that the address that was on hin checkout page (where I send the item) was written incorrect by him. STILL ebay grands him the return and I lose the shipping , even if it was his mistake for providing me with a wrong address?
Can I do something about that or just leave this cheating site?

·2 years agoWell color me confused too. How can the buyer return something they don't have? You said the item was returned to you for address unknown.
And why did Ebay get involved? If the buyer filed a Request for Return, did you not respond to it? Why did Ebay step in? Did Ebay force a refund?
Or is the Request for Return still active? If it is, you are in pretty good shape as the buyer will not be able to return something they don't have. You should send the buyer a message from inside the claim letting them know that per the tracking the item was returned to you for an address issue.
OMG your closing statement is a bit over the top. How is the "site" cheating you? First lets actually figure out what is going on and then we can move forward to a possible solution.
