I reported a seller who had contact info in his pictures.......obviously trying to take sales off ebay.........

·2 years agoHi it depends on the severity of the offence. On the light the item is removed with why and you can appeal it or if they find it to be bad they can pull the entire account.

·2 years agoI have reported nothing for many years because it is a waste of time, not my job and ebay usually could not possibly care any less.
I suspect that the prompt enforcement was because it was a issue that costs ebay money so they considered it important, a issue that costs honest sellers money they consider very very unimportant.

OP2 years agoInteresting to note the non removal......in mine I also mentioned that the same "bait" was on their About Me page and that was also removed.........
Maybe they actually are listening to the "you don't communicate well"......complaints. People have always complained about the non responsiveness of reporting......
Well, I believe in unicorns, too...............

·2 years ago@dhbookds,
Happened to me as well. I reported a couple of listings a few days apart. I was surprised to see the acknowledgment messages (both of them) said they would let me know what happened. They used to say they would not let you know.
The first listing was not removed, and I didn't get a follow up. They second listing was removed, and I got a follow up reply that said it was removed, and gave the item # and title. So I think you only get a follow-up message if they take action on the report.
Neither of the ones I reported were for fee avoidance.

OP2 years agoAgree, I've never gotten ANYTHING saying what they did........ The listings were pulled, I saw that earlier.....
I did report for fee avoidance, don't know if the reason makes any difference......

·2 years agoIf I'm ever in doubt about what to put as a reason I've noticed that "fee avoidance" ALWAYS gets ebay off their butts.

·2 years agoThat is really unusual. Anytime I have reported something to eBay the message I get thanks me for the report but advises me that due to privacy concerns they could not (would not) tell me what happened.
In fact I just had one today. The last line read
