Would it be appropriate to block this buyer now or do I have to wait 30 days?
Buyer left negative feedback with some concerning things in it after messaging me a complaint and didn't respond to my suggestion of a return. After a whole process with eBay, they removed the photos and the message, but left the negative. Sadly my first one.
I obviously never want to deal with this buyer ever again and want to block, but I also don't want to have an issue if I block now before his return window is up in 30 days in case he initiates at the end of it. Do I wait or can I block now?

·8 months agoYou do know that you can reply to that negative. I would keep it simple with something like "I offered a return with a refund and buyer did not want to do that".

OP8 months agoThank you all for the replies, that's good to know.
But yes, this buyer wanted to be a jerk and complain, didn't want to cooperate with any return or figuring out a solution and left my personal info in with his feedback. If only sellers could warn other sellers about buyers such as this one.

We could back in the glory days. I was just thinking about that after reading your original post. Once upon a time, sellers were allowed to be honest when leaving feedback for buyers and sellers could read honest feedback left by other sellers. It was great!

OP isn't asking what can be done, but what should be done.

Sounds like your buyer blew off steam in his negative FB and that your communications with this person have run their course.
Blocking this buyer won't prevent you from receiving a notification from eBay if he initiates a return.
I would block now.

·8 months agoYou can block now. The return will not affect that as you will be getting updates from ebay regarding it and not the buyer.
