wonder why limit on auctions in books category
Unless I am painfully wrong I think that when I have no store I will get 250 free listings a month either auction or FP. I poked around to see what I'd have to do to list more auctions . I am struck by how ebay won't allot more auction listings in books no matter the store level. Wonder why ebay has it in for books in terms of auctions.

Admittedly most have OBO enabled, but there still seems to be auctions. Here is a pure auction with no buy it now or best offer:

·4 months agoLess than 4 percent of auctions run in the "Books & Magazines > Books" category actually sell (90 percent with one bid). While buy it now books have a higher sell through rate.
Going by the average stats 250 book auctions listed will result in 9 books sold and only one of those books will get more than 1 bid.
Why would they want to encourage that with freebies?

OP4 months agoMakes sense. I didn't have the stats. It's a glutted category for sure. I am hoping to sell some of my backlog by auction but will have to see if it's worth the effort.

OP4 months agoIf my calculation is right over the past 90 days I sold just over 50% of my auctions. I had 85 completed and out of that 45 sold. Most of that time I was listing very few auctions and I need to ramp it up.
