Will our listings still be visible if we haven’t yet changed our first class listings to GA?
I’m curious because time is definitely not on my side but I also can’t afford to lose any sales. I can do some everyday. I got 500+ listings, but I can’t do them all right this second. What’s everyone else doing about this situation.? Thank you for any help you may have. Lynn

·3 years agoDo we really have to do anything? When I sell something and go to make the label, it is already changed. I didn't do anything.

So you think Ebay has advised us to change our listings and other sellers are giving their advice as to how to best accomplish this just to cause sellers extra work instead of it being necessary???? WHY??
In a nutshell. YES you need to change your listings.

·3 years agoKeep in mind that it is ONLY First Class Package that is being merged into Ground Advantage (of course in addition to Retail Ground and Parcel Select). The USPS is NOT merging First Class Letter and First Class Large Envelope/Flat into GA.
I'm not sure how eBay will be handling any seller items that are intended to be sent by FC Letter or FC Large Envelope/Flat. I don't use eBay's labeling/shipping system, and haven't for the last 13 years due to it being unreliable, cumbersome, and subject to a lot of unnecessary restrictions, tinkering and downtime. I'm using Stamps.com, and their new software allows me to use FC Letter and the less-expensive FC Large Envelope/Flat in addition to GA for packages.
Hopefully someone will chime in here and inform you how eBay will handle any items meant to be sent out via the two FC categories that the USPS will not be merging into GA.

·3 years agoYES, they are not penalizing us yet. You should be fine doing a few a day.
I would suggest that you don't charge the EXACT amount that the postage is going to be. You have the right to charge a little more to cover packaging materials and you Ebay fees.

I would think you would be able to do just what I did. I have almost 5000 listings and it took me about 30 seconds to do them all!
You should be able to go to:
Account settings (on desktop, it's under your name in the top left from the home page)
Then select Business Policies
Then go to each/any rule (policy) you had created pertaining to First Class shipping...select Edit here on that shipping rule/policy.
In editing mode, simply select Ground Advantage.
There is an option to transfer all current/active listings there.
It does it automatically, there's no need to sort through them one by one!!

·3 years agoThe good news is that it really doesn't take as long as you think. I've got close to 1,000 that were First Class and it took me less than an hour to go through and switch them all to Ground Advantage.

·3 years agoYes, I see 520 listings for you, and in looking at one of the soonest to expire/roll over (175695540984), it's showing First Class shipping, the same as what I was seeing on mine before I updated them to Ground Advantage, so I don't think they're going invisible on you.
The USPS will honor FCP labels through September 30, but I think you should find that when buying a label through eBay for a listing that you haven't updated yet, Ground Advantage will be there for you to choose, if it's not already the default choice.
