Will $0.30 Fee Be Refunded On Inventory Glitch Cancellations?
@devon@ebay @kyle@ebay @elizabeth@ebay - it's good to see the announcement that the inventory issue is fixed and sellers will be protected from negative feedback and out of stock strikes.
However, it doesn't specify if the protection for out of stock strikes will include refunding the $0.30 per order fee for those cancellations.
Per the fee credit policy, out of stock cancellations do not usually have it refunded but eBay absolutely should make an exception in this case.
Can you confirm if sellers will receive those credits and if so, will they be processed automatically or will they need to contact support for each affected transaction?

·3 years agoYES. Ebay will be automatically refunding affected sellers. The credits should be seen by the seller next week.

·3 years agoI kind of know the answer to this question already ... but ... how does ebay know who was or wasn't affected by this?
What's to keep someone with a legitimate OOS from saying it was ebay's fault?

Great question @inhawaii. The system has generated a list of affected sellers so we know who to directly credit. However, if a Seller was to reach out claiming OOS and wasn't truly affected we would research certain factors that would confirm that. Hope this helps.

OP3 years agoHas anyone who cancelled orders with the out of stock reason due to this issue received credit for the $0.30 per transaction fee?
