Why won't ebay remove this negative fedback?
Not the account I'm posting from, but the listing made it very clear, "do not purchase, unless you can return it if not satisfied". Sure enough, a buyer using a freight forward company purchased it. A week later, with no warning there's a negative feedback stating the keyboard doesn't work. Whether it does or does not at this point is not important, it's about taking care of this customer and that's when I discovered he's in Jamaica and cant ship it back. 3 times I've messaged eBay to remove it as A) the buyer didn't follow the listing request and B) buyers using freight forward service are not covered under eBay's buyer protection policy. Three replies back that virtually stated the same message "reach out to your buyer and see what you can do to make it right" I expect the feedback to be removed just on my listing verbiage alone.

·4 months agoThe list reasons for FB removal is very short because that allows Ebay to stand behind the immunity from responsibility for what a buyer or seller says in FB.
Expecting that you will get negative FB removed is often incorrect. Whether the MBG applies to the sale or not, has nothing to do with whether the FB will be removed.
FB does not have to be truthful to be allowed to remain.
Resolve your transaction problems or expect to have a neg from time to time.

Feedback policy | eBay
If the feedback simply states that the keyboard doesn't work, then that is not grounds for removal unless you disclosed that in the listing
As others have stated, feedback and the money-back guarantee have nothing to do with each other. Even if this buyer was in the US and decided not to return the item to you, they still would be within their rights to leave a negative feedback.
You can make requests in your listings, but they are never going to supersede ebay's rules and policies.

·4 months agoYour listing is actually VERY muddy as most don't even get down to the description area...
Not to mention it does NOT matter WHAT your description states.

·4 months agoYou need to post from the account that the problem occurred from so we can see the negative, No way for anyone here to advise you that it is removable or not, Seeing is believing.

·4 months agoYou can't dictate "terms" in a listing. The ebay guarantee has nothing to do with feedback.
Without seeing the neg.......no one can advise whether it's removable or not. If he simply says it doesn't work....it's not going to be removed because there is no way to tell if it does or not.
