It sure would be wild if the mods were trying to bury the story, but I doubt they'd ever do such a thing.

OP4 months agoNot me. This board is the way I come here. I suspect I'm not alone.
It isn't just a story, it's a legit lawsuit that's been filed, with a plaintiff and a defendant.

·4 months agoI don't know how many come to the "Community" this way, but I aways click the 'help' at the top, scroll to the bottom and click 'Community' and there is listed EVERY NEW thread that is posted and or responded.
So 'moving' doesn't mean much.
Same as this 'story' because at this point, it is just that.

·4 months agoI would certainly like to know why my thread was moved and in particular why it was removed from the section with the most traffic to such a remote sub forum of the community boards in which the other threads in that sub forum have nothing to do with ebay in general when mine directly does.

OP4 months agoI sure hope sellers, especially those promoting at a rate higher than 2%, take a look at your original post. Trying to sweep this one under the rug isn't going to make it go away. Even if the platform wins, it will probably result in some changes. At the bare minimum, we should be seeing a bit more transparency on how this "program" (aka additional service fee) actually works.

·4 months agoI actually just saw my thread was moved, and not just moved but completely buried. Like Jimmie Hoffa buried to where no one would EVER find it. That in itself is alarming. I sort of get it were from a random seller or whatever, but its an employee who is claiming that people from ebay had their hand in the cookie jar when it came to manipulating metrics and promoted listings among other things.
It would have been better off for it to go on for a few days and slowly die off like most threads. This is just a bad look considering how many other threads that could easily go somewhere else.
