Why is summertime slow on sales?
I’m a teacher so during the summer I focus full time on eBay. It’s also a great time for me to get inventory. I’ve noticed last summer and this summer it’s very slow with the sales. Is it normal for sales to slow down in the summertime? Is there any tips I can do to enhance some sales during this time?

·1 year agoYou sell a lot of movies, More & more people are just using streaming services & not purchasing the actual item, It's a tough sell, Some do sell but not often, The ones I sell are more the collectible type, steelbooks, limited editions, boxed sets, etc.& they sell but slowly, That being said Summertime is tough for sales in general, People are outside doing things & spending money elsewhere, Good Luck to you!

·1 year ago@kensgiftshop is on the mark. You are selling items which are primarily purchased for indoor activities, and many people are focused on the outdoors.
You are also selling items which are part of declining markets. Physical media for entertainment is decreasing in the size of its market, as are physical media for games. Depending on your current specific offerings within these categories, you may see the effects to be more or less visible.

Yes. It’s been like this since I started in 1996. Summers are slow.

I see you have a lot of movies and stuff like that listed.
In the summer, more people are outside, not inside watching movies.

Why do you think AZ has their Prime Days sale in summer?
Might it be because sales drop off then?
For most online sellers the busy time is the pre-Christmas period.

·1 year agoI sold full time here for many, many years. Summers were always slow,kids are out of school,families take trips and focus on being out in the nice weather doing family things.Not much you can do but keep listing. As for me, I used to take summers off.
