Why is my bank account being charged to refund buyers who pay then instantly cancel an order?
How is it logical to charge sellers for someone else's instant buying regret? It should simply reverse their payment, not take already deposited money away from my bank account.

Isn't the refund amount covered by the amount being processed? You said it was an instant cancel after payment so wasn't the payment being processed? I agree, it seems weird they would ding your bank account if you have the refund amount in your Processing Funds.
Buyers should be paying the 30 cent fee when they cancel after an auction. As a buyer I think that would be fair. It would stop some tomfoolery for certain .

·3 years agoMaybe they could tell buyers if they cancel within the hour when they've already paid they will be charged .30, if they do so and any cancellations after that where they've been paid for, the buyer will have to wait until their payment processes to be refunded. I'm sure that could be coded.

·3 years agoI think it is because the 30 cent fixed transaction fee is not refunded. So if you do not have any other funds available to cover the 30 cent fee, eBay needs to hit your bank account instead.
