Why ebay refurbished program team never reply ?
Summary: vfdp_82 shared a frustrating experience with the eBay Refurbished Program, describing multiple unsuccessful attempts to get a response from eBay's customer service and the Refurbished team. They highlighted delays, inconsistent information, and a lack of communication, expressing confusion over the program's management. Other participants mentioned unfamiliarity with the program and speculated that it might still have unresolved issues. pickapaper noted that eBay's large user base poses challenges for customer service, while deltilogical questioned the acceptability of these operational kinks affecting users.
On July 27, I applied for the eBay Refurbished Program through the official website. On August 5, I contacted eBay customer service, and they emailed back saying they had already sent me an invitation, but because I hadn't responded, I would need to reapply and wait 14 days. I checked my inbox — there was not a single email from eBay.
Fine. I waited 14 days and still heard nothing. When I followed up, I was told it was actually 14 business days. OK, no problem, understandable.
After 14 business days, I called again. This time I was told my application was under review and would take 30 days. Alright — by now I was starting to feel pretty helpless.
After 30 days, I called again, and the answer was 30 business days. Why does every person give me a different answer? Does eBay not train its staff?
Fine. After 30 business days, I followed up yet again, and this time they simply said they didn't know and told me to email the team myself.
Great. So I emailed the eBay Refurbished team directly — at first once every 3 days. No reply. I asked eBay, and they said I could email once a day. So I sent an email every single day. Never a reply. Not once. NEVER!
I'm genuinely curious: if any members of the eBay Refurbished team are reading this, I'd like to ask you — you're paid out of the final value fees we sellers pay. Are you actually doing your jobs? Do you not even have the basic courtesy to reply to a single email?

It's not that no one cares.
I'm guessing that no one is familiar enough with the program to be able to offer advice.
I'd never heard of it so I looked it up:
https://www.ebay.com/sellercenter/ebay-for-business/ebay-refurbished-program
Then I verified that it's available to sellers in Australia and it is.
I also found an article from @valueaddedresource that discusses category restrictions.

Hopefully someone who's familiar with the program might chime in.

·1 month agoI agree, I don't think anyone is that familiar with the Refurbish Program. I have never heard of it. If it is new and not yet widely available, they probably don't have all the kinks worked out yet. You may have to be patient with this one, more than you already have been.
eBay's customer service does leave a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, with 18 million sellers and 135 million buyers on eBay, there are going to be so many different problems come up, absolutely no one could be trained to know answers to everything. I would think the sheer volume of calls and issues those agents have to deal with would be mind-blowing.

Why is this acceptable? if the program is not ready, why is it ok for the users to have to put up with "the kinks"?

·1 month agoI DID NOT say it was acceptable or that it is okay for users to have to put up with "the kinks". I only made an "if" statement.
How many times do people come on these boards complaining about "glitches" or things not working right on all kinds of things on eBay? Constantly. How long has it taken the new management of these boards to "work out the kinks"...and it appears they are still working on them.
