Why doesn't Ebay make its experience easier?
Summary: pmarsha11 expressed frustration about the lack of a simple button to delete active listings on eBay, questioning the platform's user-friendliness. sreu3058 and inhawaii explained that it is indeed possible with relatively simple steps, while duffy4444 suggested that understanding the process requires patience and learning. tobaccocardyahoo commented on eBay's prioritization of features that generate revenue. Finally, chapeau-noir compared it to another platform that offers a similar feature with minimal time savings.
Seriously why doesn't Ebay make its experience easier? More user friendly?
I just wanted to delete an active listing. Just put a button next to the item to make it inactive!!!

·1 month ago@pmarsha11 OK, Ebay does that. You can pop into any of your listings, click on revise it from the upper left side. Drop the qty to zero and click on the submit button at the bottom of the page. That will close your listing to any potential buyer.
Or you can go to your Seller Hub, go to your Active Listings, and from the drop down menu available on the left side of the list, you can close the listing.
Do you need any other suggestions to easy your work load. Keep in mind, you are new to the site, so while most features are here, you just may not be aware of where to find them.

·1 month agoMercari has such a feature, but I can't say that the one click it saves over the system here actually saves me much time

·1 month agoEbay attaches a priority to functions which make money for Ebay.
Ending your listing does not make money and is not deserving of prime real estate.

That's pretty much all you have to do.
Go to the active listing you want to end.
Click on the 3 dots...

·1 month ago · EditedYou obviously haven't been patient enough to take the time to research how eBay works. It really is a very easy, intuitive procedure. There are buttons next to the item in your My eBay Seller Hub Listings. Just four clicks and the item is ended. I just timed myself. It takes me only less than 10 seconds from start to finish.
We all have had to learn how things work. Go for it.
Cheers, Duffy

You don’t want a ‘delete’ you can accidentally hit and *poof*
