Why doesn't ebay deal with scammers
I am sick of getting scammers on ebay who make an offer of the full price for a buy it now item and then try to get you to converse with them outside of ebay with a view to getting your account details.
I tried to contact ebay by chat about this and they totally did not understand, filled in their form to report scammer and have heard nothing. The scammer is still on ebay and has three positive feedbacks, each saying s/he is a scammer, I cannot leave feedback myself, has anyone had the same problem

·3 years agoAn offer that matches your buy-it-now price is an obvious red flag; the scammer avoids the buy-it-now option because that would likely require an immediate payment, while an accepted offer does not.
You can avoid many scammers by listing for a fixed price with immediate payment and by not making or accepting offers.
Even when eBay eventually suspends a scammer's account, that does not actually stop the scammer. The scammer will likely just register another new eBay account or hijack someone else's existing account to continue sending scam offers.
Sellers must be constantly on guard against any users that make such offers or try to take a transaction off of eBay or that request contact details prior to payment.

·2 years agoSo, as I have been scammed twice now with fake account bid winners, eBay scammers will run rampant with zero assistance from eBay other than having to continually relist items (wasting precious time and money), HOPING a real bidder will win and actually pay. You see, it really does not effect eBays bottom line... only ours. Between the 50+ percent fees on listings and **bleep** hyped promotions to the scammers and hold delays...eBay is truly blowing it. Just look at X...
