I have had several instances where eBay has sent a 5% off offer on my behalf. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to what items are chosen. In this one case, the new-with-tag necklace retails for $138. I normally offer it at $94, but am running a 20% off coupon. Offering this person 5% off isn't just annoying...it is embracing. How do I stop eBay's arbitrary discounts on my behalf?

·5 months agoAlso with Best Offers, you can set parameters to automatically accept /reject making your workload (and annoyance levels) lighter.
BTW- I have noticed that eBay discount from time to time on my own listings, although I put Best Offer on all of them. Admittedly my product lines are longtail, and some of the oldest (pre 2020 eg) might not have BO on them.

·5 months agoWhen you "send an offer" there is a box you can check to "automatically send offer" to all watchers in the future. Somehow that must be turned on. I would check your listings to see if "automated offer" is turned on.

·5 months agoeBay didn't send that on their own, but you may have sent seller-initiated offers and left the box to send automated offers checked.
You can see all your current automated offers from Seller Hub -> Marketing -> Offers.
