Why did ebay get rid of best match Sort filter when searching SOLD listings????
Searching Sold listings to research price history and sales has not worked for a year or more- just returns crazy unrelated results of every random thing that has sold- ....... but i never put 2+2 together until another seller pointed out to me that in the dropdown sort ( sort order) box, ebay has removed the best match order!
There are only a few such as- price-highest/lowest, time- newly listed/ ending soonest, & distance.
Was this an effort to force people over to the research tab to find any pertinant info on sold listings?- if so WHY- its a simple sort filter that makes listing and selling 3x faster than constantly going to a different tab or screen and re-typing the search query.
Normal search still offers best match which at least tries to give you what you are looking for. But Sold filter does not allow best match sort anymore.
To the search team- We would love to have the sold listings search work again- it was the #1 most helpful feature to quickly see the recent market pricing of an item before listing. It was also a good predicter of whether or not an item was even worth listing- if there were many or no sales in 90 days....... The seperate research tool is OK but since none of the information stays active after 90 days, it is beyond frustrating to find a sold item that is what you want to sell, and the listing is not even accessable or can even be seen

·8 months agoDefault is 'ended recently' which seems to be the only 'return type' that really matters since something that sold 8 months ago would not be pertinent compared to something that sold 1 week ago, 2 weeks ago etc.
Best Match wouldn't even make sense to have in 'sold' items.

I know tons of sellers of unique items that used to use the sold listings filter to basically start the listing process for each item but that no longer works because searching in sold listings is basically gibberish now
