Why am I getting charged to simply REVISE a auction listing?
Been selling for over 15 yrs, so now when I go to a auction listing, simply want to revise the price, scroll now to where is says REVISE, it also states I will be charged .35. Treating it like it's a new listing. I have called Ebay numerous times and get no where

·8 months agoI would strongly recommend considering changing your selling practices from auction listings to fixed price listing. That way you can avoid those fees and you get listings for free which are included. Buyers can purchase the item right away so no waiting involved. You can even have "best offer" on your fixed listing if you are willing to negotiate.

·8 months agoI could be wrong (it's been known to happen even though rarely lol) but I seem to recall there's something about being charged a new listing fee if the price is revised UPwards over a certain %.
It's been so long since I did an auction I'm not sure.

·8 months agoIn the distant past, your opening price did determine the listing fee (for example, an auction opening at $24.99 cost slightly less in listing fees than an auction opening at $25.00), although I don't think that applies anymore.

·8 months agoI revised 3-4 of my Auctions last night lowering the price, was not charged a fee whatsoever. Is there some other reason you haven't looked for to see what the charge was? Does the charge actually say it's a Listing Fee? Did you add a Second Category without realizing it? What about adding BIN then clicking "Immediate Payment Required". There is a Fee for that.
Besides that, it's only .35 cents. Once I would just ignore it and wait it out to see if the charge sticks when the Auction ends, item sells. Twice, easy to ignore. .35 cents is not going to Bankrupt me. If it starts happening on 30 of my Auctions, THEN I would be calling ebay to see what's going on. But I'm not going to be calling ebay, wasting my time over .35 cents. It wouldn't be worth it. I've got better, more productive things to do than that.

·8 months agoWhat revisions did you do? Some revisions like adding a second category could cost you extra if you didnt initially pay for it when you first listed.

A few things that can cause a 35 cent fee on a revision:

·8 months agoIf you click on the price to get the cost breakdown, does it say that the charge is due to the revision, or is it just restating the original listing fee?
