Where is the Top Rated Plus FVF discount info that suddenly disappeared to & that policy as well?
Do not see now, where prior in performance metrics, it said you get a badge (participation ribbon) and a 10% discount on final value fees. Now, you only get a badge. Is there some policy change that they've buried in the July "News" like they did in June with the P&A Returns to just bury sellers?

OP1 year agoI didn't pose the question correctly and mispoke. Stated Top Rated Plus, which our account is showing as prior to July 15th even though we do not offer free returns. The discount was available to top rated sellers before now that met standards and metrics and was stated in ebay's policy. Now nothing. That was all I was asking. Where did that 10% discount go? Even a delay of that discount results in reduced margins for a business and more profit for a company that holds payouts on "managed payments".

·1 year agoI see what you are talking about.
Not sure if this helps,
but I did have one sale on July 1st and I still had the 10% fee discount.
Thanks for pointing it out...
I'll be watching to see if that changes.

·1 year agoMotors Parts & Accessories is one of the few categories where you can offer 30 day buyer paid returns and still get the fee discount on Top Rated Plus listings - but in that case the icon will not be shown, you only get the discount.

If you want the icon on the listings as well, you have to offer free returns - and of course all of that is going to change for Motors P&A sellers on July 15th any way.

·1 year agoIt doesn't look like you would currently qualify for the discount since you don't have free returns on any of your listings. I haven't seen anything informing us that discount has gone away if we qualify.

You just have a misunderstanding. "... it said you get a badge (participation ribbon) and a 10% discount on final value fees." That is NOT exactly what it said. Just because you qualify for TRS does NOT mean you automatically get the 10% fee discount.
Once you qualify for TRS, you can have some or all of your listings qualify for TRS plus which gives you the discount. But this status is at the listing level.
Qualify as a Top Rated Seller
To become a Top Rated Seller, you must meet the following guidelines:
Once you meet these requirements, we will automatically upgrade you to the Top Rated Seller status at your next evaluation.
Top Rated Plus
As a Top Rated Seller, you can qualify for a Top Rated Plus seal and additional benefits when your listings offer the following services:
You can choose to offer these in some or all listings. For listings that qualify, you earn the following benefits

OP1 year agoFree return shipping isn't supposed to start until July 15th and Top Rated Sellers did get that discount on FVF PRIOR to eBay making this policy change of their own choice. Bots. Gotta Stop!

·1 year agoWhere are you seeing anything about July 15th or a policy change???

·1 year agoIt's for ebay motors. My response earlier was wrong because I didn't notice their category and look up the difference as valueaddedresource did.

·1 year ago@gurlcat it was part of the June update. July 15th P&A sellers are being forced into 30 day free returns so at that point, this exception that allowed P&A sellers to still get the discount (but not the badge) for TRS+ listings will be moot any way.
https://www.ebay.com/sellercenter/news/2025-june/parts-accessories-return-policy
The upside I suppose is that as long as P&A sellers continue to do everything else needed for their listings to qualify, they'll still get the discount and now also get the badge - but I know plenty who would much rather keep the discount without the badge and not have to offer free returns.

·1 year agoThere is no discount for being a TRS.
"Top Rated Seller status" and "Top Rated Plus listings" are two seperate things.
If you want the 10% discount, you have to make your listings eligible for Top Rated Plus

OP1 year agoAlready fulfill those qualifications, according to the older policy that suddenly disappeared. So again, same question? Did you look at the screenshot? Or are you an AI bot or just a "guest" poster with zero listings that comments on posts? AI much?

OP1 year agoWe did get the 10% disount for being a TRS up until this last week. Example below:

·1 year ago@bad_box1 so just to be clear, have you received the discount on any listings that should have qualified since July 1?
I'm wondering since that return policy change is happening in the middle of the month, but the TRS+ evaluation is done on a monthly basis - maybe the policies are conflicting and/or eBay updated the coding for the TRS+ eval early to accommodate the mid-month return policy change?
