·10 months agoPeople did not stop buying, they may not be buying stuff you have or want to buy it now (auctions don't do that).
This return policy is a sales killer

Lot of people are buying, they're just not buying your stuff.
If it makes you feel any better, many of us are experiencing slows sales (myself included).

·10 months agoYour Fine, it's not your store. I'm completely dead too. I think many people are hurting for money. I know some other sellers are also NOT Selling 😞

·10 months agoYour store has a lot of nice items that you make. With winter approaching, maybe your sales of blankets and so forth will pick up. Good luck.

·10 months agoI am having the same issue. Plenty watchers but no buyers. I am going to hold a large sale through next month.

·10 months agoYour crochet work is lovely.
Having a great admiration for handcrafting coupled with a firm grasp of the reality that it competes with innumerable mass-produced sweat shop "similarities" I would greatly encourage the OP to write out all of their own product descriptions & avoid AI.
I know this is time consuming. Perhaps writing lengthy descriptions is not in the OP's comfort zone?
I just highly recommend that for a smaller seller (especially a crafter) an authentic description certainly helps reinforce the concept of unique originality as well as providing a bit of reassurance to a buyer that the goods truly are handcrafted and not a labor camp look-alike being marketed as handcrafted dishonestly.
All the best with shop & sales!

·10 months agoYou're in saturated areas with very poor titles so people can't find you - work on those titles and I think your sales will pick up.
When you are as small as we are, everything has to be optimised.
ETA: The fact that you have watchers means that *some* people are finding you, and there is nothing wrong with your items, but you need more people to come in.

·11 months agoThere are tons of fall craft festivals going on right now so there are lots of folks shopping elsewhere. Also, some of your photos make it look like your scarves are not the same width. I think it is the angle?

·11 months agoSome of your titles could use some work. Some of your mens silk ties have a brand name in the title which is good-but some do not. Did you know that if I type “mens silk ties†in the search box I get over 730,000 other ties? Hard to sell yours with that competition. Same with your “size medium green dressâ€-about 100,000 other green dresses for sale. The crochet items seem to have better titles.

·11 months agoNot wrong. Just not much, and kind of narrow/niched in offerings.
Try to add items. If you aren't paying for a store you can still list 250 items each month without charges. You could easily list another 100 items and still have room to list/relist more. Dont go over 250 each month to avoid paying insertion fees.
Your niche category areas are nice, but nothing you've listed are really necessities or have a lot of practical use (ie cameras, games, tools, etc). When people have less to spend, they spend less or nonessentials. Adding some necessity/essential item listings you like/know about can add items to your choices and bring in some sales when people are buying less nonessentials.

·11 months agoIf you have watchers, then obviously your listings are visible and people are finding them.
Have any potential buyers contacted you to tell you that eBay is preventing people from clicking the "Buy" button?

·11 months agoUntil you go to the Casino on Friday and Saturday night and you can barely find a parking spot. I'm still trying to wrap my head around that. I thought times were tough. Obviously only for some people i guess 🤔

·11 months agoAnd that is the way it has always been. Even in consensus "bad" economies, plenty are doing well. In boom times, plenty of people are struggling. Too many eBay sellers think that they have slow sales, so all do. Same with college graduates that have chosen the "wrong" area of study, folks that are in dying industries, etc..

·10 months agoKind of same here, just not Casino's. You get out over the weekend, ALL our major shopping centers are packed. Our HUGE South Plains Mall, all the higher end strip shopping centers. Costco, Sams, Walmarts, we have 5 Supercenter's here, RESTAURANTS, all packed. People spending money.
And here we sit. 😣

·11 months agoI am no expert on crochet works, but IMO, you are charging for your personal labor costs. The items are nice, but i have seen them at garage/ estate, and G Will sales at 3-6.00. You cannot mass produce a handworked item; with only 118 to sell, not enough product for choice or interest. People are looking to buy low only; wishing you well and a good selling strategy !

·11 months agoYou have 100 items in your store. Your feedback is 9. If you had a 1000 items in your store your sales, more than likely would be ten times higher. keep doing what you are doing but more of it.

Your settings require "auto-pay" for best offers and auctions. This will limit the payment choices a buyer can use, but more importantly this prevents combined shipping for multiple items. Because a buyer has to put up a payment source in order to make an offer (or bid), to you, they know already what this means. Each accepted offer will be automatically billed/paid for at full shipping price. This often defeats the purpose of 'make offer' scenario since a buyer may end up paying more than if they just used the Buy it Now feature and requested a total. Though this was eBay's answer to non-paying buyers (instead of sanctioning buyers who did not follow the rules and pay), these settings did wonders for running off buyers that DO pay, and many buyers will still refuse to participate.
Many sellers like this program because they get paid faster, and have to pay eBay more. They just as likely get paid less due to buyer's dislike for the program. Many sellers don't even know about these settings eBay awarded everyone in the Default mode, much less what they do. Those that figured it out and turned them "off" reported an increase in offers, bids, and thus sales.
In this day and time, it would probably be beneficial to provide a more "buyer friendly" experience. Nobody likes being treated like a potential deadbeat before they even get started. So long as you know how to deal with the occasional non-payer, there is no need to limit everyone to "other people didn't pay, so you don't get combined shipping" punishment camp.
See yours here:

Buyer Rules:
*Require buyers to provide a payment method before they place a bid.
*Require buyers to provide a payment method before they make an offer.
Click submit or save.

Scroll down and make sure this setting is enabled and set to yes Allow invoice requests
OR
Leave the Buyer Rules in default to yes, and pay eBay some more promotional fees to see if that helps your sales.

·10 months agoI've read this sentiment so many times here since I've been back, and each time I immediately think "what a bunch of Hoo-Haw. Probably 10K transactions in over a 20 year time period, want to know how many "bundle transactions" of "Mutliple Items" I've done in all those years? I'd like to know myself too, because there hasn't been that many. Maybe can count them all on one hand. So few I really cannot remember ONE today.
Why shouldn't a "BUYER" have to put up a payment source to BUY on ebay? I mean, they're here to BUY, right. Sellers don't get paid unless they BUY. Isn't that how ecommerce works? Window Lookers ARE Deadbeats until they Buy. When they BUY, wouldn't you expect them to PAY. By requiring Immediate Payments, they are automatically BUYERS. No Seller here wants deadbeats messing around with their listings until they decide to Buy. You Buy, You Pay, that's what makes one a BUYER. If they want to "Bundle", deal with the bundle aspect when the times comes up. But to have it where Shoppers, "Window Lickers" can have your listings held up for when they choose to pay is ridiculous. They Buy, They Pay. These settings for 1 possible Bundle Buyer out of 100,000 potential Buyers is not how ebay works. That's why they have it as an Option, not a Default as Immediate Payment is. And to choose that option, allowing Buyers to PAY WHEN THEY WANT TO, is, well, stupid. I sell something, I want it paid for, NOW.
80 Billion websites all over the internet. Every major retailer has a website. Kohl's, Walmart, Pep Boys, Best Buy, Rock Auto, Amazon, I can't really go on naming all 80 Billion, but they all one thing in common, if you're going to BUY on their website, you need to have a PAYMENT SOURCE listed to BUY. Majority you can't even open an account unless you provide a Payment Source. Same applies here. You're here to SELL, Buyers must have a Payment Source to BUY. Why would you even waste your time messing around here on ebay if Buyers weren't force to Pay when they BUY. Think hard about that.
