Whats up with the proliferation of "Goldin" listings in search results?
What's the deal with Goldin? I guess eBay owns Goldin?
I'm starting to see listings for Goldin Auctions in search results. And the link takes you to the Goldin website.

OP2 weeks agoI guess eBay is using Goldin to stage themed "Auction Events" similar to bigger auction houses. The guitar I noted is part of Goldin's "2026 Fall Music Memorabilia Auction."
Still a little odd to hijack the top search result to divert buyers elsewhere. Not sure I like that.

·2 weeks agoI'm not seeing your claimed results in a "Goldin" search.
Most of the listings that come up in my search a books with an author of that name or COAs that were authenticated by someone with the name.

Yes — eBay acquired Goldin Auctions in April 2024 from Collectors Holdings, the parent company of PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator). You can Google it to read more details.

OP2 weeks agoI saw that - and there isnt much beyond that 2024 news.
That doesn't explain why they are using their search results like this - which is something Ive only encountered in the last week or two.
Just wondering what the deal is?
