What would you do?

Remember a post a few days ago where the op asked "How can sellers sell something with free shipping when the shipping is more than the item itself?"

Well just for the heck of it, I ordered one of each.

Ordered on 7-26-25

Delivered on 7-31-26

The status/tracking shows both were delivered, but only one was delivered.

It was drop shipped from Amazon. No paperwork inside or seller info.

Because of this, I have no idea which one was delivered and which one was not.

Would it really matter because if I were to file a INR with ebay, I would lose because the tracking shows "delivered".

What would you do?

Chalk it off as a loss and enjoy my beverages?

Give it a couple of days. I bet the one that's not there yet WAS delivered. Just not to you.
It was delivered to a local Amazon or WalMart courier.
They'll get up around noon and make their way to you in a day or so

Another update.

The missing package showed up Saturday, 2 days after the tracking said it was delivered. Proof that tracking (especially delivery scans) are not always accurate.

We have all been here on the edge of our seats greatly concerned for your well-being, thinking that you had been hoodwinked by some unscrupulous seller. Drawn in, tricked by the "free shipping". Did you spike the 1st bottles with a fifth of Jim Beam before drinking them so that you are just now awawening enough to be able to tell us of your good fortune?

UPDATE:

After very carefully examining the package, I can not find either of the 2 tracking numbers on it anywhere.

I looked at every number, every digit on that package.

Also, nothing that says "USPS" or "UPS" or "FedEx" anywhere.

Just a Amazon box with Amazon tape.

The tracking numbers, one says "UPS" and one says "FedEx".

I wasted way to much time on this.

I'll just take the $5 loss and enjoy my beverages.

Thanks for everyone's advice and thoughts.

You can file a "SNAD" claim ... noting that the product that was delivered is invisible.

Check the tracking number on the physical package you received and match it up so you know which order was delivered and which wasn't.

On the order that wasn't received, what carrier was used for shipping? What carrier shows on eBay? If you don't want to post here you can send me a DM with a screenshot of tracking and I'll take a look.

Since you say they were different tracking numbers, it sounds like you know which eBay order was delivered and which one wasn't.

For the one that is missing, inquire with the carrier that shows it delivered, but is missing, and have them confirm that it really was delivered to your address. I know USPS can do this ... assume other carriers can too.

Doesn't the package have a tracking number on it? It should match up with one of the tracking numbers for your purchases.

The one that was delivered will be a lost Claim for you. There is no fallout for buyers for losing claims that I know of.

The one that was not delivered will be a Won Claim and you will be refunded.

Maybe the other one is still out for delivery?

If you placed two orders though wouldn't one order work with the INR? Or did you place one order with two items combined? Then you would probably lose the INR.

Wouldn't you file a claim for Missing Pieces or Parts? Since one is missing still and not delivered?

2 separate orders.

2 tracking numbers, both say delivered yesterday.

Only 1 came in.

I believe there are clever ways of handling a missing package if you believe you have been taken advantage of. Filing an INR, as you are aware, may not work if something shady happened. Although, that is absolutely what you are (supposed) to do from what I read on the board here.

Perhaps message the seller and see if you can get any information out of them before you file anything?

That is what I would do.

Hopefully, nothing fishy happened.
